Jaworowski is a professor at the central laboratory for radiological protection
in Warsaw. As a multidisciplinary scientist, he has studied pollution with
radionuclides and heavy metals. He has also served as the chairman of the
United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic radiation
(UNSCEAR).
