My name is Mr. Jeff Mace and I am an Art Teacher in Orrick Missouri. The following is some information about myself feel free to look around and email me with any questions you have.

My Life:
I have lived my entire life (until 1998) in St. Joseph Missouri (where the Pony Express began and Jesse James ended). I went to Missouri Western State College after I graduated from high school. I began college as an Elementary Education Major but eventually decided it was not for me. I changed majors to Art Education; I was taking a drawing class at that time and loved it. I decided that my personality fit far better with artsy type people and graduated in May of 1998 with my degree. I am now working at Orrick and really enjoying being on the other side of the teacher's desk at long last. I recently moved to Downtown Kansas City to cut down on my commute and because I enjoy the art community there.

My Intrests:
My intrests are quite diverse. I love Art but I also love Music. I am a karaoke DJ durring my off time and love singing. One of my favorite activities is going to the movies and collecting movie memorabillia is also a hobby of mine. For the last 8 years I have worked at a summer camp for deaf children, so I am fairly fluent in sign language. In college, I earned extra spending money as a coffee shop employee, and love the coffee shop atmosphere.

My Art
Art for me is experience and expression. I think that getting there is half the fun and that this process helps me learn about myself. I am a trained artist rather than a natural talent and everytime I take an Art class it seems to become my favorite new media. My portfolio contains photographs, ceramic wares, paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures.
