Great Catch ! The Buncrana Anglers Association control The Crana River. The Crana River is a beautiful spate river rising in the central highlands of Inishowen which flows through moorland, farmland and forest for 10km to Lough Swilly. The Crana is well stocked with Salmon, Sea Trout and small Brown Trout. The fishery opens on 1st of March for Salmon ; Sea Trout and continues until 30th of September for Salmon and 12th of October for Sea Trout.
Boats On The Resevoir The Association also controls the waters of the Fullerton Resevoir Fishery on the head waters of the Crana River in the scenic highlands of Inishowen. This Fishery is a newly created 400 acre lake which is stocked with brown trout and also holds a natural run of salmon. Fishing the lake is by boat only with the Association proving 18ft lake boats. Boats may be booked in advance.
