The Government of Madhya Pradesh have set up the Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University under the act of the state assembly as the main university providing easily accessible and quality higher education through Mutimedia and Distance Learning Mode. The University caters to the needs of higher education in the country (India) especially in Madhya Pradesh. Like any other university in the state of Madhya Pradesh, the Governor of the state is the Chancellor of the University. The main objective of the University is to develop and provide easily accessible system of higher education by possible use of different modes of educational inputs such as written lessons and text books, contact teaching and practical classes, TV, Radio and Video programmes, Tape recorder and satellite communications. A unique and distinctive feature of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University MPBOU is that the system is oriented to take special care to meet the requirements, expectations and training needs of individual students keeping their convenience in view. Thus the ultimate goal of the university is to provide higher education at the doorsteps of the students.
The management of the University is governed by a Board of Management (BOM) constituted by the Chancellor of the University under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor. A list of the memebers can be obtained later when we complete the constuction of this page
