Derm's KLR Mods

From: "tdermody" To: Subject: KLR Mods Date: Mon, 29 Dec 2003 20:28:10 -0600 Mark, Nice site. Lots of good KLR info in there. Thanks. I bought a 2004 KLR a while back and am making some mods already on it. Here are a couple pictures of the hitch mounted carrier I made for the bike and the rear master cylinder guard I made. The carrier was cheap considering what was available comercially. It is very stout and weighs about 75 pounds I think. The carrier pictures are from two different build times so the second picture has some primer still showing. The guard was free and fun to make. I would post them on Yahoo myself but I didn't know how. You could post these on your site if you wanted to or just send them out there to see if anyone is interested in them. I'm not interested in making these for sale but I would gladly tell anyone how I made them. I also put in some ground-effect lighting under the fenders with very small LED clearance lights (one unit under each fender). They pull almost no current due to being LEDs and are totally sealed but I don't know how they'll hold up to off-road use yet. They aren't bright enough to attract the cops attention but they do look sort of neat. I'll let you know if I get a ticket on them. :) I'll send you a picture of them and the part number if youre interested. Enjoy.

Take care,
Derm (Derm36 on Yahoo but I don't check that mail that often.)
