Dedicated To My Long Lost Loved Ones......

September 19, 1998 is a day I will never forget...... it all started off so harmless and it ended up on of the deadliest and saddest days of my life. My grandparents had approved of my best friend Tiffany staying over-night at our house and so she did, but I guess all she did want was someone to talk to about her happiness. She had met this guy named Darrell and he was her angel in her eyes... he treated her with respect and with dignity. She even said that one day they would be happilly married with children, that's how much she loved him in her heart. And so we stayed up until about twelve o'clock and then we went to sleep. The next day her mother came and was going to take her home when we came up with this idea that I could go to her house and spend the night. Well, my grandparents said ok and then we went to her house and dropped my bag of stuff (clothes & stuff) off. We went to the movie rental place and rented Picture Perfect and a Dracula movie. When we got back home we went upstairs after popping some popcorn and started watching Picture Perfect. Well, just as we thought my fiance and my ex- boyfriend dropped by after work and they asked if we wanted to go to the mall and we said yes but we had to check with her mom & dad. While she went and checked with her mom I went outside to my ex's car where the guys were and sat there talking. Tiffany came out and she said that her mother said it was alright to go. Her mother came out and said something to the guys and Tiffany but I couldn't hear what she said. Tiffany said let's go so we went to a friend's house of mine to say hello but she wasn't there so we went up to the road next to the high school and then we went to the Conocco station and they got some pop and I got some of the purified water they sell. Then we traveled to the mall in the area of Metro North and we went to the arcade and spent a little money and then went through a town called Liberty and got onto the main road back towards home. When we were going home there had been a report of a hit- and- run in Liberty by a blue 1990 something car. So we all the sudden were being chased by a cop on the road home. My ex had gotten so startled that he speeded up to around 75 - 80 mph. And when we got into traffic he swerved in and out of it. So when we got near our hometown he turned onto a road near our local Wal-mart and we almost flipped at that intersection, but we didn't. So we traveled down the road and jumped some train tracks at about 75 mph and landed back on the ground out of control and jumped a gardrail and hit a telephone/ powerpole and turned sideways about two times then flipped about 2 and a half times and landed upside down. While the car was flipping a live wire came loose off the pole and hit the bottom of the car electrified the car. My fiance was flipped out the back window and my ex was still in the driver's seat and they both were electrocutedto death while my friend was in the front passenger's seat getting electrocuted. I passed out from the electricity and woke back up and crawled out my window after un-dowing my seatbelt. I was then taken to a police car and and sat in the front passenger seat. The ambulance people then put me on a gurney and put me in the ambulance. I then heard two officers outside the ambulance back doors saying that they were not getting any movement from the two males but they were getting screamilng from the unconscious female & then I just wanted to die. They then transported me to Liberty hospital and examined me and found a electric burn on my right lower arm clear to the bone and muscle and cuts and gouges too. Tiffany was transported to the same hospital and she was put in the ICU unit with multiple burns and a fractured left shoulder. The following Monday I then procceeded to go to school and was mobbed with friends and strangers gathering around me everywhere I went, but the pain I went through was so extensive that I had to return home a few hours later. I eventually recovered with only a small scar on my left cheek of my face & multiple scarring on my lower right arm. And also from time to time it's hard to do things with my arm. So the only thing I'm asking to anyone out there, please wear your seatbelt and don't take life for granted.
