REPUBLITHEOCRASY - "ONE NATION, UNDER GOD"

Back in the "Forties" and "Fifties", when I was in my school-years, every school day began with the Pledge to the Flag, and the "Lord's Prayer". Some teachers had a Bible on their desk, and included a short reading of a Psalm.

If I remember correctly, it was in the early Fifties when two words were added to the Pledge to the Flag. I didn't like it. It broke up the rhythm to which we had become accustomed. Also, even as a child, it struck me as hypocritical. Those two words were "Under God".

From first grade, I had been a victim of religious persecution. My family was Pentecostal (not the same as today's "Pentecostals") - we were "Holy Rollers" and, as one "Charismatic" writer put it in his book, we were the Pentecostals from "the other side of the track", meaning (in his opinion) un-refined.

So to my ears, hearing those words, "one nation, under God" from the lips of the uncircumcised sounded like blasphemy. I wouldn't say them! Not with a bunch of heathens! Furthermore, in my opinion, they had been inserted by heathens, people who smoked, drank, went to dances, movies, etc., etc. Therefore, the words were the same as taking the Name of the Lord in vain.

However, at this point and time in this country, I'm very glad those heathens inserted that little phrase! Now we say, "and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands (the flag), one nation, UNDER GOD. with Liberty and Justice for all." Oh! How I praise God!

I had thought America ( the united States of) was a DEMOCRACY. I've always thought this. I was taught so in school. Only recently have I learned that America is a REPUBLIC. And now that I reflect on the Pledge to the Flag which stands for that REPUBLIC, I'm delighted to know that the true purpose of the Republic was to make us a free nation Under God! Says so right in the Declaration of Independence from which this nation was formed.

I now think of the united STATES OF AMERICA as a Republitheocracy. This means God is first! It means the Church comes first! All other laws follow, and must always revere the RIGHT of the Churches to govern themselves according to theirinterpretation of the Word of God. (Other religions will have to fight their battle for freedom) But in the Republic of America, the churches of the God of the Hebrews take first place! The reason for that, of course, is because that's why people came here in the first place and developed the colonies.

America, the united STATES of, must recognize the right of the Church to exist without their permission. In fact, the statement, "Under God" is that the "state" answers to the Church.

The Church needs to face this situation. The fact that churches seek a tax exemption from the State puts them "under State"rather than "Under God". Ministers, this is the reason the State is dictating to you where you may or may not discriminate. Discrimination is most necessary in our worship of the God of the Hebrews. HE is a very discriminating GOD. HE IS GOD, and the church is under HIM. So is the Republic of America, a Republitheocracy!

If you ignore this message, you will lose your battle with the State. When we fight "gay" Rights, etc., we're fight cobwebs. I grew up listening to a minister, F.B. Marine in Baltimore, Maryland, who loved to say, "If you don't get rid of the spider, you won't get rid of the cobwebs."

    Sincerely, For FREEDOM In America,

    Martha Martin
