stuff I've found at seventeen.com

On the main page it had a pic of Scott and it said:

Meet the Moffats, boy band on the verge -- and they play their own instruments, thank you very much.

Then once you clicked on the link it said:

NEW RELEASES for June 8

The mind boggles at the wealth, the beauty, the je nais sais quoi facing us this week. With so many promising new releases and so little cash, who, my gosh, who should you take home with you? Calm down, we're here to help.

• Have you ever wanted to take Hanson and Matchbox 20 and just grind 'em all up in a blender? Yes? No? Well, for better or for worse, you'd end up with The Moffatts. Yup, those Moffatts, the countrified Canada quartet who had a record deal when they were, like, not even ten. They're all growed up now -- well, triplets Clint (blond streaks), Dave (dark-n-spiky), and Bob (dark-n-lengthy) are 15, while big brother Scott (blond, blond, blond) is 16. Years in the biz have schooled 'em indeed, and their third album Chapter I: A New Beginning, despite the dreamy l-u-v subject matter found in all twelve songs, sounds big and almost too-serious, as if the guys are a little overly obsessed with putting their yee-haw past behind them. They certainly found the right guy for the job: Grammy Award-winning producer Glen Ballard, who helped Alanis Morissette pull a similar sleight-of-career with Jagged Little Pill and whatnot. Still, the guys all play their own instruments, harmonize quite nicely, and their moodier tunes like "Misery" and "Written All Over My Heart" hit their intended marks. So if you're in the mood for a Hansonbox 20 smoothie, dial this one up.

July 4 1999 Moffatts at the Movies: If you're mad for the Moffatts, wait 'til you see them on the silver screen. The Hansonesque Canadian boy band is planning to set aside a few months in the year 2000 to shoot a movie. The brother act is currently in talks with Adam Rifkin, director of The Chase, Small Soldiers, and the upcoming Detroit Rock City, to handle the heavy stuff. Big brother Scott (16) and triplets Bob, Dave, and Clint (15) hope the film will echo the Beatles' classic A Hard Day's Night and capture the humor of life on the road. Sounds just like Spice World with no girls and no Ginger....
