Hi! You have found Scott Coleman's page..Welcome!

Note: This site is still being added to and fixed.

A little about me- I'm 5'9", 130lbs., blond hair and green eyes, I am 16. I am United Methodist, and proud of it! I live out of town on the family company site, Coleman Farms. Although I am a part of the company, I run my own operation, TSC Enterprises. (Link to the site below) I have my own walnut plantation, I run stocker cattle, cow/calf, feeder cattle, and am expanding my sheep production. I have lost most of my crop ground for '99 due to my landlord putting the ground into CRP. I have a few "hobbies", I like to hunt, fish, ride fourwheelers,(my own, of course), and build things/invent things. I am in FFA, 4-H, and Church Youth Group. I used to be in track, but my profession takes up a good percentage of my spare time this year, so I'm outta that for hopefully only a year. I'm also into weight lifting, and can now bench press 142% of my bodyweight (Not bad for a weak guy like me!).

I was on the Livestock and Knowledge Teams last year and this year I am on the Field Crops Team. I am Chaplain for our Chapter. FFA has help me achieve my goals and better myself through leadership training, personal examples, meeting other members from other parts of the country, gaining skills in the shop as well as the classroom, and keeping my business on track through the SAE and Record Book Programs. And I'll add this other little bit of info just for the heck of it: The idea that a person can sneak up on a cow and tip it over ("cow tipping") is just a bunch of male bovine manure. If anyone wants to compare/exchange grass farming techniques/ideas, or just chat and stuff, please e-mail me!

My new calves are doing great in dry lot, no death loss and no sickness. Most of the time I buy calves under 300lb. and feed them through the winter, then sell them in about November. I have 41 on grass right now, 3 in dry lot, and if prices stay reasonable, I'll buy a few more. Good luck in '99!!!

Proverbs 14:23- "All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty."
