Mayday Weekend, 1982

Here's an old songlist that was taped to my keyboard for the "Mayday Weekend" gig. (The duct tape is still attached!) The band was "Black Mustang," named for the guitarist's car that was sold to purchase a PA system(!). The members were Greg Wilson (lead vocals), Walter "Wally" Treppler (guitar), Josh Foresman (guitar), Dave Stuckman (drums), and Scott "Ghost" Shipman (bass, guitar, harmonica, and violin). Scott was last heard with the Uptown String Band. (A recent photo is here.) At the Mayday Weekend gig, we opened for the local band "Spiderwolf," featuring Tony Spinner on lead vocals and guitar.

Bernie Park '79

Here's a collection of old photos...

The band was Crabtree-Moss featuring my keyboard mentor, Greg Wilson shown here playing a Vox "Continental" organ, with Mike Brown on drums and Bill Crabtree on bass. (Bill is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Indiana University. There's a recent phot of Bill here.) I'm shown playing a Crumar "Multiman".
Not shown: Jeff Roehm, guitar, and Kenneth Moss, vocals.

My Pal and Local Gig-Whore(!), Keith Welker,
shown here in 1999.
Keith was last seen with Saratoga Trunque
