In school Nate and Mike planned out more and more about the band in Spanish and Science classes. They figured out that Mike would control the mmm part and Nate would control the tss part. And the monkey would run around and flip switches and hit buttons. Little did they know how much more complicated the band would become. Not too much happened until late summer '98 when Rich joined the band. He brought some new flare to the band and we figured that he could do some mixing on the turntables. Later Kenny joined the band in fall '98 and then Paul joined after his success in Trojan Troops. Nate didn't like the idea of Paul being in the band because Nate is in Spartan Troops and Trojan Troops of course declared war on the Spartans. But then something big happened. J-Man Jimmy came up with the idea of making Nate choose between bands. Mike supported the idea and Nates decision was to quit both bands. H2C made a few changes after Nate left, like appointing Niels as our official manager. Then ST let Nate back in but Hail to the Chimp wasn't so easy. The question was the biggest thing in the news for about a week and then H2C made its decision. Kenny was promoted from our roadie into the band, Niels was moved into the roadie spot, and Nate was moved in as our manager. H2C made a deal to have their first album be on Bad Monkey Records. Then H2C suddenly decided to let Nate be their recording advisor instead of their manager. Who will their manager be? They will set up their own stuff because they don't want to get tied down to lawyers. Too see some of H2C current songs, click here. It is not sure yet which songs will be included on the album. Then one cold day in March, Mike, Nate, and Rich were in a private AOL chat room talking about H2C. Nate had a few ideas, but Mike and Rich were rejecting them. Apparently, Mike got angry because, as we know, he has been in a bad mood since going to St. John's. He tries to hide it as much as he can, but he has a short temper since being there. Mike and Rich talked it over after leaving the chat room, and decided maybe he should be kicked out. Main Reasons? They said he was power hungry, but it was actually just over a little scuffle about sound clips. When Mike proposed the idea to Rich, Rich quickly agreed with Mike. Later the next night, Mike talked to Paul and Kenny and they both said "sure, kick him out" very fast, like they didn't even have to think about it. Mike decided that if the whole band wanted him out, I guess he should be. Again, after Nate was out of the band, a change was made. Mo was appointed Official Pharaoh of Hail to the Chimp. He will not record with us, but he has chosen H2C as his Official Music. After Nate heard the news, he talked with Mike for a while, and Mike decided that he had forgotten the true spirit of Hail to the Chimp. (see paragraphs one and two) They have made new plan, but it is yet to be unleashed. Stay tuned for more details. But then, Mike just said that Nate could be back in the band because after all, Nate started the band with Mike, and he can be trusted, he's not just in it for the money, he's in it for the love of the band. Mike also kicked Niels out because all of H2C thinks that he put in the fake message of ElectriNate. Hail to the Chimp was looking for a replacement but then they hired Dan. Mike and Nate anounced that they would be working on an album with just them two on it called the roots. Production for this album has been going slowly, but it is hoped to be out before the end of the decade. The roots was released on 9/9/99. It sold out the first day, and every shipment of it so far has sold out in a few days. It is still possible to obtain a copy of the tape, just talk to Mike or Nate. After the roots came out, the two took a short break, but only to build up their musical empire. Since the roots was released H2C has obtained a boner. And some musical equipment. H2C bought a four track, and a synthesizer and a bass guitar. (And some other musical stuff like amps and stuff, but thats not important) H2C spent many hours in the studio (a.k.a Mike's room) and recorded their next album No Pants Allowed. They had planned on releasing it before the end of the school year, but some technical difficulties came up. H2C wants the album on CD, but are having trouble doing that. So right now, they are waiting. Everything is set, they have the album cover drawn out and the songs recorded, they just need to get the CDs made, and start the selling. When the album is on CD, Mike and Nate plan on taking an adventure. They will walk from Mike's house (Gibbon Road, kinda near Chesnut St. and Ash St.) to Nate's house. (Spring Street) This will be a very long walk, but they will do it and have a boom box on thier shoulder listening to the new album. They will sell albums along the way to anyone they meet. If you want to be involved in this adventure, just talk to us. Even if you don't want to be involved in the adventure, talk to us anyway, we love you. Peace out. |
