Warmest congratulations to the AGCS Network's longest-running member, Razor and Ruudboy: The Website, which has managed to remain online and operational for ten solid years! I must say that I am extremely grateful to you, the fans, for keeping our humble little site afloat over the past decade. Despite an inauspicious debut, Razor and Ruudboy: The Website went on to inspire the creation of Loserville City Limits, as well as the infamous Triple-D's Homepage and even, to some extent, razor's world. Because of this, R. and R.: The Website invokes powerful feelings of nostalgia within yours truly, and to these characters I remain indebted and quite loyal indeed. I shall conclude today's post by retelling the story of how this unique and semi-popular website first acquired its name:
"Razor and Ruudboy's Amazing Evil Fantasy World (now known simply as R. and R.: The Website) was the very first site I ever created, believe it or not. My longtime friend Ruudboy, aka Ryan, and I had seen websites popping up all over and were eager to get into the Internet scene ourselves, though our reasons were unclear - even to us. So, we looked around for a free webpage provider (Hotbot.com - we went with the first thing we could find), and on a cold morning early in 1998 at a local library, Razor and Ruudboy's Amazing Evil Fantasy World was born.
As you may have guessed, the website's name is not intended to literally represent anything 'evil' or otherwise unpleasant; the true story is that when I was setting the first page up, I asked Ryan what we should call it. Purely as a joke, he answered, 'I don't know...how about our Evil Fantasy World?' Ryan has since stated that he deeply regrets telling me that, as 'Razor and Ruudboy's Amazing Evil Fantasy World' stuck like glue for the first few years of the website's existence."
Thanks for all the great memories...

A Brief History of Loserville
[Posted 12/21/2007]
I don't know the exact date I opened this website, but it was sometime in mid-1998. If you never had the chance to see it back then, consider yourself lucky. When I set Loserville up, I had absolutely no experience with HTML, Java, CSS, et cetera - so for awhile, I didn't mention it to anyone because I simply wasn't very proud of it. However, the more you work at these things, the better you get (at least in theory).
When it first opened, my site was called Razor's Butt-Kicking Wrestling Site For Losers - yes, seriously. While it didn't have much to offer, it was and still is constantly evolving. Back then I had trouble keeping it updated, because I didn't have a computer of my own. Eventually, I decided to shut the website down (call it a mercy killing), but it didn't stay closed for long.
After buying my first computer and establishing an Internet presence, I exploded into a creative frenzy. My wrestling website was reopened under the name Loserville City Limits (as a tribute to the old page), and new content was added at an astounding rate. I posted an enormous number of hard-to-find animated GIFs, and even had my own newsletter and a weekly column at one point. I can't say that the site was ever popular, but I did have a decent number of regular visitors.
In May of 2000 I dramatically changed the look and feel of LCL, adding the frames - a somewhat controversial move, in my mind at least - as well as instituting a 'weblog' system for site updates. The basic design remains the same to this very day, albiet with a few tweaks here and there. Following the spring of 2001, the website languished in purgatory for some time, as I once again found myself without regular online access.
I did manage to check back in every so often, but for the most part Loserville remained outdated and unattended. Sadly, I was forced to remove the animated GIFs and other media due to limited bandwidth, and as my interest in pro wrestling waned, LCL began to suffer. After a few years of this, I made a triumphant, full-time return to the Internet and attempted to revive LCL, branching out into different subjects in the hopes of establishing a new identity for the site.
I still consider myself a fan of pro wrestling, but I never watch it anymore; as I once explained in an update, the "ultimate storyline" in my view (the ratings battle between various organizations) was resolved when the WWF bought out all of their competitors. Therefore, I made a concentrated effort to quietly dissolve most of Loserville's wrestling-related content, as well as some other failed experiments that had been hanging around.
Unfortunately, this reduced the website to little more than a skeleton, which soon prompted its conversion to the "hub" of the AGCS Network. Currently, LCL exists primarily as a way for people to find out more about the Network's member sites (most of which are owned by yours truly), and I believe it has adapted nicely to this role. It is my sincere hope that I may one day restore Loserville to its former status as a thriving entity, but for now, I'm just happy to see that it's still around after nearly a decade. Who would have thought?
To all of my visitors: I cannot thank you enough. As I've said before, this is your website, too, and I want to know what you'd like to see. All feedback, positive or negative, is appreciated and will be taken into consideration. Whatever the future may bring, here's to another ten years...

This Website Has Been Through the Wringer...
[Posted 11/30/2007]
...and we're still going strong - sort of. Even though many of the original pages have been placed into storage, and Loserville City Limits is now completely devoid of a philosophy or worthwhile features of any kind, I'm not giving up hope just yet! Hey, I've been able to keep this website open for the better part of a decade, and I'd say that's pretty close to being a minor accomplishment. Something to be proud of...to an extent.
My life has taken so many divergent twists, turns and pathways since I first opened LCL for business, and from the looks of it, things are not going to calm down anytime soon. That's okay with me, though - I can handle it. I've got a plan. Long ago I vowed to you, my esteemed visitors and loyal detractors, that I would always be around, and I intend to completely fulfill the obligations of that self-imposed contract.
Please feel free to drop by anytime, as always - although I cannot promise major updates or revisions until sometime next year, I will be here, lurking in the background. Thanks again for everyone who has enjoyed or contributed to LCL over the years; I am indebted to you and I appreciate your support. See you around...

Unbelievable...
[Posted 08/02/2007]
Wow...has it really been a entire year since I wrote anything on this page? Small wonder that I can't seem to inspire visitor loyalty. Anyway, just checking in to let you know that I've been terribly busy with a rather ambitious project: the complete restoration of Triple-D's Homepage. A few of my older and more useless websites, specifically razor's world and Steel Step Wrestling, have already been absorbed into Triple-D's Homepage as part of my grand scheme, the details of which cannot yet be revealed. Suffice to say that if I were you, I would check here for the latest online updates from yours truly, at least until further notice. Thank you and have a great week.

Don't worry about a thing - this website is not going anywhere. All I need is a little more time, and I shall convert LCL into a site that people might actually want to visit. Sounds pretty good, hmm? Anyway, thanks for stopping by; please check back later for more info.

It is Altogether Fitting and Proper That We Should Do This.
[Posted 01/18/2006]
Well, it certainly looks as though Loserville City Limits is breathing its last. Too bad, eh? But I'm not shutting her down just yet! No reason to! She's been up and running in one form or another since 1998, and it would be highly ungrateful of me to pull the plug now. Is anyone even out there anymore? I didn't think so. Either way, I'll check back after a few weeks, once I've made a decision. Thanks for visiting...

What A Crazy Year...
[Posted 8/24/2004]
Now that's an understatement. Sorry for having not posted a site update in so long, but trust me -- I've been around. Just too busy (for lack of a better word)
to immerse myself in the day-to-day operations of good olde Loserville like I used to. But that doesn't mean we're not friends anymore...does it? Well, don't worry, because I'll always be here in one way or another; figure out what that means and you win the big prize.
Just kidding. Apologies. Anyway, I want to know what you think of the minor changes you've seen here so far -- and what other changes you'd most like to see happen! Remember, the future of this great website depends on you..more or less. I'll admit it's not much to look at right now, but just wait until the end of the year. You won't even recognize the place! Or will you? I suppose we'll all find out eventually. Sooner than later...
