This is the web page of the Driver's Seat newsletter, published by Cody Publications. The Driver's Seat covers racing action from all over the Southeast Missouri region including the St. Francois County Raceway, the Big River Sand Drags, the B&L Raceway (for radio-controlled cars),and the Fredericktown Raceway.
I've been in the media for over 23 years covering sports in this region and the Driver's Seat takes a back seat to none.. Reporter/photographers Celia Crisp, Fred Harl and myself provide only the best coverage and we do it from the viewpoint of people who genuinely love the sport of racing. CONGRATULATIONS....................... Our 1998 Driver's Seat "Driver of the Year" award goes to John Bohn of Farmington. Bohn was the track champion at Fredericktown in the street stock class and he finished in second place in the points at the St. Francois County Raceway. Most impressively, during the entire racing season at both tracks he never missed one night... Once again, congratulations John Bohn. Last year's winner was Sam Thompson of Doe Run (Sam races race rails at Big River Sand Drags in Bonne Terre).
