From Gunge to Glamour

She was a shoplifter, a stripper and a controversial punk rocker. But today Courtney Love is a model mom.
With her baby-doll dresses and smeared red lipstick, Courtney - lead singer of the group Hole - captured the heart of punk rocker Kurt Cobain. Their drug use led to charges that Courtney took heroin while pregnant with their daughter.

After Kurt killed himself with a shotgun in April 1994, Courtney was busted for abusing an airline crew and slugging another singer at a concert.

In 1996 she checked herself into drug rehab and began to turn her life around.

She nabbed a Golden Globe nomination for her work in "The People vs. Larry Flynt" and settled down with costar Edward Norton.

With fashion advice from Sharon Stone, Courtney transformed herself into a glamour queen. The 33-year-old former junkie is now into yoga, Buddhism and vitamin C.
