Meet the six wonderful gifts that Willi gave us.
The top row are the kittens that my daughter Dawn took to live
in her home with her husband Todd, Wally a beautiful Maine Coon,
and Miss Piggy the sweetest calico.
The two on the bottom row are in my home and we all love them very much.

If you read Willis' Story then you already know that this was her second litter .
The first litter she had away from the house and although we
tried to follow her to find them and bring them home
we were never able to.
Willi was so funny.
She would start down the road then sit down right in the middle
and look over her shoulder at us.
We would always try to hide, but she knew we were there, and she wouldn't
move another inch.
Well, who has the patience of a cat, not us.
Inside of two weeks Willi was back at the house staying all the time,
so we knew that something had happened to her kittens.
We really thought she was two young and they were not meant to be.
I wasn't sure how long to wait before getting her spayed, but it was too long.
That was when she had this littter, and this time we were there.
It was a beautiful day, one that I will never forget,
and the memory is more precious now that Willi is gone.
Dawn and I were outside and she noticed Willi on the side of the house
rolling around like she was playing.
As she was petting her, she called to me and said that Willi's stomach was really hard.
I ran over to her, and she was in labor.
We took her in the house and put her in one of the spare bedrooms.
It seemed like we waited for hours, but she finally started having her babies.
There we were all crowded around this little cat giving birth,
and we could hardly contain ourselves.
She had three right away and didn't have time in between to clean them.
At this point I got really scared and called my vet.
She had to really work hard to calm me down.
I was to watch her and if she continued at such a rapid rate,
I was to call her. She did slow down after I had made a fool of my self,
but it had been so long since we had a cat that wasn't spayed or neutered at an early age
we had forgotten what to expect.
She finally gave birth to six beautiful kittens.
What a joy it was to watch them start their lives.
Of course my husband had already asked what we were going to do with them.
I simply state we would find them homes.
We kept saying when they were old enough we would take them to the Humane Society,
but I always knew in my heart that I wouldn't.
As the week s and then days drew nearer,
Dawn and I had many discussions about the babies and what would happen to them.
We knew how hard it was to find good homes for so many kittens,
and black cats and kittens are very difficult to find homes for.
We had three black, and one black and white, one dilute calico, and one white calico.
A few days after they were born Panther was chosen to be
Todds kitten. Todd was in service at the time and we picked out the biggest black one
and named it Panther after one of our Golden Cats that had passed away.
Dawn had fallen in love with Halo from the minute she saw her born.
I finally said I would keep the other two black ones, Chow and his sister Uffie.
That left the dilute calico and the black and white.
Well you are probably ahead of my story at this point,
Dawn decided we couldn't do anything but keep them all,
so she took four and I kept my two.
I think at the time I had eight cats, so what was two more.
Uffie is just like her Mother, she stays in one room most of the time.
Loves people one on one, would rather do without other cats.
Chow is real reserved and when he was a kitten I would hold him all the time
and would have to be constantly petting him so he wouldn't sprint away.
That worked, except now when he is on my lap I have to constantly pet him.
Halo rides around on Todds shoulder, Puffy beats everyone up but is very sweet to people,
and DJ is very reserved and very quiet, but very sweet.
Panther is like Chow, he is freaky, but as lovable as any of them when he is on Dawns lap.
This litter of kittens was very lucky.
But they have given us lots of laughter and tears of joy since coming into our lives.
Now that Willi is gone forever, they help to heal the hurt of losing her so young,
Willi is still with us in her babies, and we thank her for that.

Out babies turned eight years old this year, and have always been the babies in the family.
But last year I lost several of my cats due to old age and illness,
and Dawn lost three of hers so we adopted new little kittens and cats from
the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
They will all be on this website in time, so hang with me to meet everyone.
Oh, I have also added three labs to my family, so look for their page.
But you might want to wear battle gear for them.
