This kit includes a stylish 9-3 viggen style tip, or a more aggressive angled dtm dual tip, or a straight dual round tip, or a dual rectangle style tip and a MAGNAFLOW muffler (the highest performance muffler company out there) so that your system both LOOKS and SOUNDS amazing! Make sure to tell us which style of tip you want when you place your order (in the comment section) or send us an email and we'll be happy to do it that way.  

If you plan on doing a catback system, there are two things you can do with this kit:  1) Buying a Catback Exhaust from the Saab Dealer   Parts alone cost $350, then add 1-2 hours of labor to insall it at 110$/hour and that totals almost $600. Not to mention Saab doesn’t use the highest quality performance mufflers like they could, and the tips they have to choose from are ridiculously overpriced and there isnt much of a variety to choose from. You wont get much sound from the saab cat-back either because of the highly restrictive mufflers they supply.

2) Getting the Muffler + Tip from us, then getting a local custom exhaust shop to bend the rest. Have your local custom exhaust shop bend a few pipes (exhaust tubing is $3-5/foot) and have them attach the muffler and tip. In about 1-2 hours of labor (typically these shops charge $60/hour, so $120) they'll mount this kit. Doing this also gives you more options, you can use 2.5 inch piping, or really open the exhaust up and use 3 inch piping. (Just tell the people at the shop and they should be able to do either size) The dealership has no variations in size, only the 2.5 inch piping, limiting your turbos efficiency and output. The high performance muffler that we provide even comes with a manufacturers warranty that protects against defects and blowouts, so you know you're getting a high quality product.  

To summarize: Our Kit- 170$, Piping- 40$ tops, Labor from Exhaust shop- 120$.... TOTAL = 330$, give or take a bend in price you're looking at less than 350$, thats a 250$ savings on what you would pay from the saab dealer.

The SOUND from this kit is incredible. At idle the car is quiet, but when you step on it the amazing sound unleashes itself. Even when cruising at normal speeds the car retains a very subtle sound, however, once you open the throttle its sound rivals that of a turbocharged porsche.

***Now, if you're just looking to replacing an old, worn out muffler, or are just not wanting an entire catback setup, the installation at a custom exhaust shop will probably be around 50-60$ proven by a recent customer (see below). This is what a lot of our customers do who want to just style up their car but not go crazy with performance upgrades. They just like the look of the new muffler kit and are sick of the old-fashioned stock saab setup.

Horsepower Gurus: You will certainly notice a gain in horsepower and throttle response from your Saab. With this less restrictive exhaust kit the turbo can really let loose and provide you with that needed power to overtake people in traffic.
      Muffler and Tip only, you're looking at 3-5hp gain.
      Muffler,tip, tubing from exhaust shop, you're looking at 10-15hp.
