On April 19th, 1995, at 9:02 a.m. the (now) second largest terrorist attack ever perpetrated on American Soil, the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Office in Oklahoma City was destroyed by an antigovernment activist named Timothy J. McVeigh.
Tim McVeigh was a normal boy growing up but events leading up to the devestation in Waco, TX and his military life in Desert Storm in 1991 lead him to think the government was "evil" and he had to take care of it. So in turn he destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City killing 168 Men, women, and children. As you will soon see, not all the people killed in this attack worked at this building, including the children. Timothy McVeigh figure he could get away with this attack but was soon pulled over about a half hour after the bombing by a state trooper for a tail light out. Shortly before he was to be released they charged him with the bombing. What some people don't understand is it was a very close call to him being released.
Tim McVeigh did NOT act alone in this attack. He alone bombed the Building but, with the help of a couple of people, he was able to do it. Terry Nichols Helped McVeigh build and transport the ingredients for the bomb. A friend of Tim was Mike Fortier also knew about the bombing and let Tim use his house to explain how he would line the barrels in the truck. Timothy J. McVeigh recieved the Death penalty and was put to death in 2000. Terry Nichols received Life with no chance of parol and Mike Fortier recieved 12 years for knowing and not alerting police to it.
There is a link at the bottom to a page that has all the people with pictures listed. I wanted to make pages for all of them but it was taking to long. Please open your hearts. Some of the ages of the people may upset you. I know it upset me when I read the names. This is my way of coming to grips with it. Thank you for reading.
