The Lancer Band was formed in 1978 and that summer their tour took them to Minneapolis, MN :) ha. They got jipped.
Every summer, the Lancers meet for one week after school lets out for "Spat Camp." In this week, EVERYTHING is learned. Most bands that Lancers compete against are from one specific highschool and they are able to practice their music year round before hitting the summer streets. Unlike those bands, Lancers get one week!
During the summer, Lancers compete in parades through-out the state of Minnesota and take a summer tour to a specific destination.
