Tips on Listening
Being a good student requires good communication and listening skills.
Be alert!
Listen to what the professor is saying, and how he/she says it.
Become an active listenener- participate in discussions and ask questions.
Become involved in lectures.
Take notes.
Look at the professor. Don't allow eyes to wander or daydream.
Restate what has been said in your own words.
Separate fact from opinion.
Ask questions if you are unaware of what the professor is talking about.
