WHAT: Rolling Hills’ Moonlight Klondike!

WHY: Why Not?
This years Rolling Hills District Klondike Derby will be held at Cleary Lake Park,
which is located near Prior Lake.
The theme for this year’s Klondike is Moonlight Klondike.
There will be an emphasis on the Snow Sports Merit Badge requirements and each Scout participating will have the opportunity to earn the Snow Sports Merit Badge at this event.
Scouts will learn how to ski cross country, be challenged by a winter orienteering course with Scout Medallions being located for prizes (bring your compass), will participate in a Klondike Sled Relay Race, and share in the fellowship of other Scouts with campfires, hot dogs, hot chocolate, and hobo soup. A lighted cross country ski trail is available for our moonlight ski.
Pre-registration is mandatory due to equipment needs.
All units need to pre-register by December 13th, 2003. No exceptions, No walk-ins!
Cost is $12.00 per person + 1 can of soup (no cream soups).
Parking is limited, so car-pooling is highly recommended.
Units, please send in Scoutmaster-signed merit badge cards for Snow Sports for each Boy Scout attending, along with your unit registration form and payment. Height, weight, age, and shoe size is needed for every participant in order to insure our equipment needs are met. Physical forms are required at the registration table for each participant. Note: Equipment is available for Scouts with disabilities on a limited basis. Please call me to inquire. Please return your registration to:

IMPORTANT NOTICE: STATE LAW CHANGE REQUIRES ANYONE 16 AND OLDER TO PURCHASE A STATE CROSS COUNTRY SKI LICENSE FOR $3.00. THIS FEE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION COST. THE LICENSE MAY BE PURCHASED ANYWHERE FISHING AND HUNTING LICENSES ARE SOLD, AND MAY BE PURCHASED THE DAY OF THE EVENT FROM THREE RIVERS PARK DISTRICT.
