Comic Display

What you will need:

* Large picture frame (8  x 11 document frame)

* Solid color soft fabric (felt, terry cloth, etc.)

* Felt tip marker/pen

* Scissors

* Stapler

* Comic Book

So you want to show off some of your best comic book investments. You want something that looks aesthetically pleasing and protects your investment. Using just a few common items, you can do both.

To begin, turn the picture frame over and remove the backing. Place your comic book face down on the glass and center it within the viewable area. Take the backing and place it on the fabric. Using the marker, outline the backing, then cut the marked area out of the fabric. Place the cut out cloth on the front of the backing and smooth it out. Carefully staple the edges of the cloth and backing together, staying within " form the edge. You will want to use about 3-4 staples per side.

Now you are ready to reassemble the frame. Making sure that the top of the backing is going in the same direction as the top of your comic book, place the backing into the frame. Reattach the backing to the frame.

Your comic book is now ready for hanging or to display on a shelf. In addition to providing a backdrop for the comic, it will also cushion the comic and keep it from sliding around inside the frame.

Make sure you use a large enough frame. A typical modern comic book measures 6 5/8" x 10 3/16". Trying to use an 8" x 10" picture frame would crimp the edges and destroy your investment.
