We had a nice meeting on November 6th. It was opened on time by 2nd VP John LeRoy. Pledge of Allegiance, Prayer and Song followed.
As it was Election Day, each of us was asked to tell, during introductions, whether we had voted or not. Also during table intros three guests and the speaker of the evening were introduced. Our guests were Bob Vols, Brent Ansel and Bryan Kieser. Our speaker of the evening was Gerald Brinacombe.
During the meeting Dave C. reported that the State Fair Midway Ticker Sales brought us $871 to our Fund Account. During 'Trips,' Lion Hal told of his travels to Utah and Lion Ed told of his travels to Bosnia and that area.
Lion Ray reported on the recent (Halloween) activities at Camp Courage. It all went well, he said, with ample participation by Leo members. There was several campers; and hot dogs and pizzas were enjoyed.
Lion Matt thanked us for our help with the Waffle Breakfast and said that it went well. As pre-arranged, we will donate $1200 of the profits to Opportunity Partners. The remainder will go into the Edina Lions Fund Account.
