Who develops these systems

Most companies make contracts with the US Military and I have yet to find what the names of these companies are. Contracts are used to develop and build thousands of the unit until it is no longer needed or is obselete.

Hughes Missiles Systems Company and Raytheon are companies that have developed more well known systems. How much do these systems cost?-----How long does it take to develop them?
