NSP Riverside power plant switch job

These pictures were taken about two weeks after the ones that show the Northtown
end and street running of this operation. Go here to see those photos.

My apologies, but it was rather wet and overcast that day - which didn't stop me...

Regular switch job out of Northtown, usually done by an EMD Switcher. The
coal hoppers are switched in or out of the plant in groups of 12-24, sometimes
even more when they are empty. During rain or snow, loads are sometimes also
switched by two EMD SWs MU'd together, otherwise fewer cars are moved when
only one SW is used.

This entire operation can be easily watched from public property.
