Welcome to our homepage. We are Pack 817, sponsored by the Men's Club at Guardian Angels Church in Oakdale MN.

During the winter, our Wolf den (grade 2) challenged our Bear den (grade 3) to a basketball scrimage. It wasn't pretty, but it was fun and we had free ice cream afterwards.

Our pack meetings are held at Guardian Angels church, in Oakdale MN. We meet once a month to share activities, information and fun. Here is our wolf den doing a skit where mad scientists confuse making a rabbit with making a robot.

Future scout in actionDoes anybody not like hot dogs after hard work??

Most of our scouts attend Skyview Community school in Oakdale. It is a new school and volunteers were requested to help spread chips on the nature trail. Many of our scouts helped both spreading chips and cooking up snacks afterwards to feed the volunteers. Parents, teachers and scouts all pitched in for a successful day of work.

Pack 817's annual entry in the Oakdale Summerfest Parade was a lifesize pinewood derby race, with each den creating their own.



Summer, 2001 Pack 817 helps keeps the grounds clean at the Guardian Angels chuch carnival and set up displays.

Some scouts took a lesson from the Boy Scouts in Troop 817 and built a teepee.



November, 2001 We made a trip to the Tamarack Nature Center in White Bear Lake

Our Bear den (grade 3) visited a local nature center for a hike through a snow-covered swamp, a lesson about the phases of the moon, and some hot chocolate.

February is Blue & Gold banquet month. It's also the time the 2nd year webelo's cross over to Boy Scouts.
This year group of webelo's getting ready to cross over to Boy Scouts Recieving new colors as a Boy Scout

After 5 years of Cub Scouts, these boys accomplished much, including the opportunity to become Boy Scouts. They now move on to more independent activities, and greater challenges

The end of Cub Scouts nears...

Cub Scouts cross over into Boy Scouts near their 11th birthday. Over 5 years and many activities and awards and trips and campouts and projects are winding down, as they work toward the Arrow of Light, the highest award they can earn as Cub Scouts.
