THE NO TRICHS TRIGGER
AN ELECTROSTATIC APPROACH TO AIDING IN THE MANAGEMENT OF TTM

Introduction

Chinese acupuncture, East Indian Ayurvedic and chiropractic philosophies are all based on the belief that interference in the flow of the body's bioelectric current, (the body's natural electric current) results in disease. Abnormal physiology has long been associated with blocked or abnormal bioelectrical activity. Correcting the abnormal electrical activity facilitates restoration of the normal bioelectric currents.

Though the East has been using acupuncture to regulate the bioelectric currents for several thousand years, Western medicine also has a very rich history, spanning over two centuries, of using electrical, electrostatic and magnetic devices to promote health. Western scientists first proposed non-needle types of electrical instruments (electro-acupuncture) after observing that some species of salamander were capable of regenerating limbs by emitting a biological current. The past thirty years have seen a tremendous amount of research in the relations between electricity, electromagnetic fields and living organisms. Robert Becker, MD details much of the research in his books "The Body Electric" and "Cross Currents." Bjorn Nordenstrom, MD in his book "Biologically Closed Electric Circuits," meticulously documents his own, extensive research in this area. Both of these esteemed researchers and a multitude of other respected scientists have shown that abnormal physiology is accompanied by abnormal electrical charge.

The advent of using electrostatic therapy as an aid in the management of TTM is an adaptation of traditional acupuncture modified to a non-needle phase. This reduced the hazard of needles piercing the skin, and less skill is required. A small device called the "No Trichs Trigger" is being used to deliver the static charge to the active pulling sites of persons with TTM.

The No Trichs Trigger uses tolerable amounts of pulsed static electricity to help restore the bioelectric balance of the scalp. Moving electrons to the scalp's active sites enhances the bioelectric current. Enhancing the current can in turn facilitate the normal balancing process.

Bioelectricity: The body's natural current

The human body is positively polarized along the central spinal axis and negatively polarized peripherally, or on the surface. When a bioelectric current of the skin's surface is blocked, it develops excess energy (negative) just under the surface and deficient energy (positive) on the surface of the skin. Anything that releases energy will tend to balance the bioelectric current.

In the normal healing process electrons flow to the abnormal area in what has been termed the "current of injury." There is ample evidence that artificially enhancing the current of injury enhances the balancing process. This phenomenon has been used for over two decades now to stimulate bone healing in the field of orthopedics.

If we could measure the electrical resistance of the TTM active pulling sites, we might find certain factors affecting the electrical potential of the cells and changing the polarity of the site's surface. This would result in the active pulling sites becomes less permeable to the internal flow of charged cells and ions necessary for balancing the sites. The electrostatic pulse from the No Trichs Trigger offers a non-invasive pulse to the surface of the skin to stimulate balancing at the cellular level.

The key to the success of electrostatic therapy for managing TTM lies within its ability to restore balance at the cellular level. TTM may be disrupting the body's normal electrical activity; the No Trichs Trigger produces electrical signals similar to those that naturally occur when the body is attempting to balance a disrupted flow of bioelectricity. The No Trichs Trigger amplifies the minute bioelectric signals inherent to the human body. It works by creating a pulse of static electricity to compensate for the diminished bioelectrical current available to the active pulling sites. This enhances the body's ability to balance the affected area.

Initially the active site has a higher electrical resistance than the surrounding tissue. This could be due to the lipid bilayer or natural oils of the scalp being impermeable to ions, and thus is capable of separating charged ions. The bilayer can therefore act as an insulator that can keep the surface charge unbalanced. As the active sites become more electrically insulated, the flow of natural bioelectricity is forced to take the path of least resistance. Therefore, natural bioelectricity avoids areas of high resistance and takes the easiest path, generally bypassing the active pulling sites and balancing is actually impaired.

Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is an essential factor in the balancing process, and is the main source of energy of the cell. Large amounts of ATP are required to control primary functions such as the movement of vital minerals like sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium, into and out of the cell. TTM not only may have higher electrical resistance, but may also be deficient in ATP. When the passage of bioelectric current is obstructed, it causes a reduction in blood supply, oxygen, and nutrients to the tissue. The decreased circulation causes an accumulation of metabolic waste products, which may result in local noxious metabolites that lead to itching. When this occurs, ATP production is reduced. The body's electrical impulses, which operate on picoamps and nanoamps, lack the necessary current to overcome the block inherent in traumatized tissue. This too, results in a hindrance of the body's own ability to begin the balancing process.

The correct static electricity application from the No Trichs Trigger to the active pulling sites increases the natural current flow, allowing the active sites to regain their normal balance. This reduces the resistance of the active sites, and the natural bioelectricity is then capable of flowing through the sites, thus aiding in reestablishing homeostasis. Therefore, the No Trichs Trigger can be viewed as a helpful catalyst in the bioelectrical reactions that occur in the balancing process.

Non-invasive, externally applied static electricity from the No Trichs Trigger is used to assist the replenishment of ATP, and to overcome the bioelectricity obstruction. By reestablishing homeostasis, the No Trichs Trigger permits the transport of nutrients back into the affected cells, and the removal of waste products, and allows the bioelectric stimulus to effect and balance the unbalanced areas. An increased ATP production will also provides the energy that tissues require to build new proteins, increase protein synthesis, and increase ion transport. Together, these processes are rudimentary for the development of healthy tissues.

Conclusion

The No Trichs Trigger could prove to be one of the most advanced forms of non-invasive therapies available today as an aid in the management of TTM. The No Trichs Trigger repeatedly produced observable results in persons with TTM. Most users are able to grow back all or almost all of their hair due to the absence or extreme reduction of the "urge" to pull. This appears to be the result of the No Trichs Trigger's ability to induce subtle physiologic changes through the movement of electrons to the affected area. Trying to explain away the results entirely on the basis of a placebo effect is both disingenuous and highly improbable given the responses observed and knowing that many of the people who have tried the No Trichs Trigger have responded despite being highly skeptical. The fact that there is such a consistent response in so many who have tried the No Trichs Trigger suggests that the bioelectric system involved.

In its present form, the No Trichs Trigger can easily and safely aid the management of TTM through balancing the bioelectricity in the TTM scalp areas. Nevertheless, additional scientific data is needed in order to clarify and justify all of the claims presented in this article. Additional research using controlled experiments is required to build a solid foundation for the precise mechanism(s) of action and benefits of using the No Trichs Trigger as an aid in the management of TTM.

There is tremendous potential for the use of energy therapies. We need to devote more research to electrostatic therapy specifically and energy therapies in general to fully develop their potential. The results of research published to date strongly suggest that electrical, electrostatic and magnetic devices will have a much more prominent role in the future of health care. The field of physics has advanced dramatically with the understanding of subatomic interactions and the advent of quantum physics. The thousands of years of positive experience with energy based therapies in other cultures further reinforces the fact the Western medical model is incomplete. When Western medicine acknowledges and embraces the important interaction between energy and physiology we can expect to see equally dramatic advances.

Western medicine recognizes anatomic structures that are in turn made up of systems, organs, cells, molecules and atoms. If we were to expand this view to include energy we merely need to go one step further and look at the subatomic interaction of protons, neutrons, electrons, muons, pions and a host of other subatomic interactions which are energetic. Once we do this it will become obvious that there is no biochemical or biological process which occurs without energy.
