Shy

magnetic cape that craves me the harder I push you away the stronger your hold no matter the distance you stray restricted by your current I remain though your ugliness repulses me magnetic cape decorated with the victories of fear intimidate me still as visible as you are to me your power is greater because I wear you invisibly to others who cannot see the constant battle I wage with you so I appear manipulated by my own will magnetic cape that covers every pore you never thought I’d win but gradually you see I can even the score so though you lurk in the shadow of doubt at my heel you are behind me my pale skin now suffers a painful heal that is before me and I face it with a zeal only you could have taught

it strikes my face
and the creamy white fruit dip
is polluted with my juice
