Information Technology Specialist III

Present assignment: Design, develop, implement, and support secure web access to the ISRS system for MnSCU colleges and universities, their students, and their staff.

Perform initial setup for implementation of web access for MnSCU institutions.
Analyze business processes and rules to provide framework for coding and achieve desired outcomes.
Create data flow diagrams for implementation of web functions using VISIO.
Design, develop, and upgrade web applications for the ISRS system using HTML, Microsoft FrontPage, HomeSite, Visual Cafe, JAVA, EbfServer, Telnet, WS-FTP and image-editing software.
Employ UNIX, SQL, VAX Open VMS, and Microsoft Access queries for assessing database information and web implementation.
Provide technical documentation and PowerPoint presentations for the CSU web site for implementation of phone and web registration.
Troubleshoot web, phone, and database issues; provide solutions.
Provide technical assistance for Help Desk, Quality Control, System Architects, Operations Managers and Developers as it pertains to web and database issues.
Explore new technologies for web and database integration and business solutions.
Act as moderator for a listserv for MnSCU web applications.
