Dreams

The day we lose our need for dreams is the day the human race forfeits its soul.
- John Chiam

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge That myth is more potent than history I believe that dreams are more powerful than facts - That hope always triumphs over experience - That laughter is the only cure for grief And I believe that love is stronger than death.
-Robert Fulghum

The power of the dream, the faith in things unseen. The courage to embrace your fear. No matter where you are, to reach for your own star... to realize the power of the dream.
-Linda Thompson

Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.

Don't wish upon a star. Reach for one.

"Though unwittingly, I was thinking last night. Seeing my own universe, perfect in its splendor, vividly trapsing down what i thought were cobblestone roads. The slick, rounded stone provided my feet an easy glide. All was perfect, the atmosphere and the terrain was just so to set your soul at ease. The aroma of the one you love and of your favorite pie took away all troubles you had been further periling over. A small dog nestles itself at my ankles, wanting nothing but attention, needing nothing but care. And when the warmth of the sun touched only my frigid feet, then I awoke. Awoke to a cruel and harmful world, one I thought I assuredly escaped. The hunger and the hurt that fills our conscious lives. I think back to the world I just left. The one I wish the paper would entail, the one of happiness. Whats in a dream? The will to go on, the hope that one day you will find that which you had thus far, only imagined. What is wrong with living your life in hopes of what you want to come true will do so. If ever you call me a dreamer, make sure I say thanks."
-Matt Hammitt

"Dreams are renewable. No matter what our age or condition, there are still untapped possibilities within us and new beauty waiting to be born."
-Dr. Dale Turner

"You say that I have no power? Perhaps you speak truly. But you say that dreams have no power here? Tell me...what power would hell have if those imprisoned there were not able to dream of heaven?"
-Morpheus, Sandman

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure...than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
-Theodore Roosevelt

"Remember that the beauty of any dream is in never letting it go."
-Sarina

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss you'll end up in the stars."
-Les Brown

"It is better, I submit, to believe in something passionately even if it is wrong, than to believe in nothing at all."
-Chua Mui Hoong

"When I consider this carefully, I find not a single property which with certainty separates the waking state from the dream. How can you be certain that your whole life is not a dream?"
-Rene Descartes

"It is a good idea to be ambitious, to have goals, to want to be good at what you do, but it is a terrible mistake to let drive and ambition get in the way of treating people with kindness and decency. The point is not that they will then be nice to you. It is that you will feel better about yourself."
-Robert Solow

"A dream is the mind's way of answering a question it hasn't yet figured out how to ask."
-David Duchovny (Fox Moulder), The X-Files

"People don't run out of dreams-people just run out of time.
-Glenn Frey, River of Dreams

"Only a person who risks is free. The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change and the realist adjusts the sails.
-William Arthur Ward, Risk

"I dream of no rules
I dream of flying
I dream of freedom
I dream of proving you wrong
I dream of not being a doctor
I dream that my dream never dies."
