Friendship

A friend is by your side

When you go through thick and thin.

They’ll go with you on a ride

Or congratulate you if you win.

Friends are those who lend a hand

When a bad disaster struck

Or will be there on demand

If you’re bored or out of luck.

So now I hope you see

What friendship means to me.

Thunder

My little filly Thunder

Is a funny little foal.

She’s a tinny, tiny wonder

With a big, humongous soul.

She skips around the pasture

Then pauses by her mother.

She doesn’t have a master,

But acts though I’m her brother.

If you knew her like I do,

Then you would love her too.

The Tragedy on 9/11

The tragedy on 9/11

Is one we’ll not forget.

4th hour when I heard them say

Something ‘bout a jet.

I listened on.

I heard the news.

The World Trade Center gone.

I felt one day that we would stop and destroy this horrid wrong.

The Pentagon, too.

Oh, god, who pulled this stunt?

The military was on alert.

Yes, now there was a hunt.

They said it was Bin Laden.

He must have done the deed.

Surely he’d be caught and tried

‘till death we would not heed.

And through the wreckage we pulled together

To help those who were hurt.

We stood strong as Americans

Through out the dust and dirt.
