1972 Elan 250

This is almost a complete sled. It could be made into a complete runner with a few more parts. First the hood on this one is shot. It has a huge crack going down the side, and under the black pacth is another hole. The frame is not rusty but it has a few stress cracks. Some one has tried to weld two of them and did a really poor job. They just built weld up and never really fixed anything. The weld could be ground off and made look nice again. The track has one small chunk out of the side as you can see in the picture. Other wise it seems to be pretty nice. Not really cracked up or anything. The right ski is good. The left ski they have broke off the leaf spring, so they got out the welder again and welded it to the ski bottom. This too could be easily fixed and made look nice. The handle bars look to be pretty nice. As far as I can tell the gas tank is good to. It don't seem to be cracked any were that i could see. I have not had it out though. The motor was out of the sled when I bought it. It seems to be good. The piston looks nice from looking in both ports. 100 PSI Compression. The only thing missing is the carb and coils .There are lot of good parts on this sled or with just a few more you could make it run again.I would like to get about $75 for the whole sled.
