The Dark Lake Dogs

Hi! We're Judd and Timber. Judd is Grandma's dog, and he is a Springer Spaniel mix. Timber is a light brown Husky dog. Look for a picture of us soon. Timber might not last too much longer so we will try to get a nice picture of her soon....

JUDD'S STORY

Judd lived with a family up the road with a couple of other dogs. That family neglected all three of thier dogs, and they had to fend for themselves. All three dogs lived on rabbits they killed and food that they foraged for themselves. Judd was smart and went down the road to Grandma's house. Grandpa always had food for him and Judd came and left as he pleased.

That family finally moved away, but left the dogs behind. They came back and shot the white dog Blizzard, the red dog, Ginger, dissapeared in the woods somewhere.(We think that she lost a battle with a bear. And even Judd was missing for a long time, but all this time he was in the woods and seemed to be managing for himself.

One day he came back. Judd was shy at first, but Grandpa worked his magic. It took years for Judd to shake his past and learn to trust again.

Grandpa is gone now. With a lot of love and patience, Judd is a normal, spoiled rotten little doggie. He goes for rides with Grandma in the car, and bums table scraps from us. And when Chelsea And Spud come to visit we have the best time playing.

Judd does have one thing that he absolutly hates. GETTING A BATH!

TIMBER

She is about thirteen years old and is like a mother to Judd. Timber is a Husky dog. She sleeps in Grandma's garage right next to where Judd sleeps.

Timber starts barking and howling for breakfast about 6:00 AM and Grandma brings the food out. Timber is really Jim's dog who lives next door. Timber seems to prefer Grandma's food.

Once in a while Judd will provide a rabbit for her to munch on. They help keep that rabbit population down to a tolerable level. Otherwise you have bunnies sitting all over the road just waiting for you to go around them with your car. We even had an incident where one rabbit jumped into Grandma's car and we couldn't get it out.

Timber and Judd are pretty much inseperable. When Jim, the neighbor, moved to a nearby lake, Timber wasted no time coming back home. She had to be tied up to keep her from wandering back over to Judd.

Timber is a bit jealous of Chelsea, but they all get along all right in the end.
