This week is a speical rant. It's double rant, and that means that two people, namely myself and one other person, are going to be ranting about the same thing. A waitress that I work with, and for her protection we'll call her "Jandi", is going to be ranting about her boss, who, for our protection more then hers, we'll call her "Julie". Everything in the red color is what "Jandi" is saying. Everything in blue is what I will be saying. ENJOY!
Jandi: Well, I guess since I started working at the "Bullshit" Cafe about 4 months ago, everything between Julie and I was going great. We were actually friends! She told me not to get a job there for many reasons. Then about 1 month into my waitress position, she became my boss. It was then that shit went down the drain. She became known as Wonder Bitch!
Big Daddy: I know exactly what Jandi is talking about. When I first started as a cook she was basically the only person who wouldn't give me the time of day. I tried almost everything. I asked her for a game of pool(TWICE) and was shot down. I even asked her to dinner just so I could get to know her better and just so she could get to know me better, and was shot down. She told me that she was "kinda" seeing someone, and that she didn't mixed work and her personal life. I found out later what a bunch of bullshit that really was, both parts. It was like she thought that she was too good for me, and that I was some slob or something. Let me just say that today, she's so below me, she's nothing more then just something nice to look at. I don't even like it when she talks!
Jandi: A fellow employee of mine always says to me, "It's really no wonder why she's a bitch!" Julie is about 5'2", around 145lbs, and the only asset she has is long gorgeous hair that flows down to her ass. She's not all that attractive and has the personality of an acorn!
Big Daddy: I must interject here with a few things. One, I don't think she's 145lbs. If she is, she's DAMN good looking for a 145lbs. Two, Jandi couldn't have picked a better comparison then Julie and an acorn. I think I would rather talk to an acorn. Might have a better conversation and less of a chance of getting bitched at for stupid stuff.
Jandi: Her attitude is rated on how far that authority stick she now holds is shoved up her ass.
Big Daddy: It's pretty far up there from what I can tell. Just thought I would mention that.
Jandi: My main problem is that she hates me because since she's my boss she knows how much I make in tips and she doesn't even make half of that. So, to get back at me for it, she tell the General Manager that she believes that I'm stealing. They checked me out and everything was completely fine, but still, she puts me on probation for 30 days and cuts my hours from 5 - 7 days a week, to 1 - 3.
Big Daddy: My main problem with Julie is that she a... oh how do I say this politely ... she's a BITCH! She's the suckiest manager type person that I've ever seen, and trust me when I say, I've seen a LOT! I took a management course in college and let me tell you, she's NOT management material! She doesn't know the first thing about it, and I don't even work under her! I can only freakin IMAGINE what her waitresses are going through! One of the FIRST things a manager needs to do is motivate the people under the person to work as well as they can. I don't think accusing your waitresses of stealing and yelling at them almost everyday really qualifies as that. Hell, like I said, I don't work under her, and even I don't feel motivated, or even like coming to work, when I know I have to work with her. And that's pretty bad since I'm a really easy guy to get along with and work with.
Jandi: The money I make is cause I've been hangin out there for 3 years and know everybody, and I have a good attitude. Despite the factor she's been a waitress for a few years, this is the first woman I can actually say I hope she doesn't remain a waitress for life, cause she's not cut out for it. She doesn't have the attitude or the skills to fit into the job. Especially when I once heard another waitress tell me, "I don't know what's worse, getting slammed, or having Julie clock in!"
Big Daddy: Jandi is correct when she says she gets the tips she gets because of her attitude. When I first heard about the whole accusation about her stealing I started asking the customers that I knew who they would tip more too. All of them said Jandi and most of them said that the reason why was because of her good attitude and the fact that she just doesn't come to the table, ask what they want in an emotionless tone and then leave. As for the quote, I was there when that comment was spoken and I must say, it pretty much sums up this entire rant. A rant that is about one woman who really doesn't know what the hell she's doing, and is so ignorant and naive, that she doesn't realize that most of the employees hate her, that she's basically the laughing stock of the kitchen, and that most of her "regulars" that she knows would probably rather screw her brains out then have a conversation with her. We're looking at a woman who's off in her own world and it's going to take a lot to bring her back to reality.
