Rant for the Week of November 9 - November 19

Before I begin my rant this week, I'd first like to apologize to the three people who actually read this last week's rant for taking so long to write another one. I know that once you read one of my rants you just can't wait until you read another one, and if that rant isn't done on time, well... you just get "antsy". The reason why I left the rant up for so long is because it had a good story to it, and I just wanted to make sure all my fans got to know what I'm dealing with at work. Now, onto something less positive.

This week's rant could be about nothing else, but the political election. What a crazy thing this time eh? I mean, they come out with all the bullshit about how you should vote. Everyone should get more involved. Your vote counts. All that crap, and look what happens. It's now 2 days after the voting is done for and still no president has been named. Thanks to you Florida people, either Gore or Bush can't get to that office and mess us up even more!

I'm sure everyone is asking themselves: "Hey Big Daddy, who did you vote for?" Well, the answer is simple, I didn't vote. Nope, this is the first election where I'm actually old enough to vote in and I didn't take even the slightest step to even get registered. So, how can I be ranting about the political status if I didn't even make a contribution? That's easy, IT'S MY SITE! I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT, SO BACK OFF! Whew, sorry about that, I got a little carried away. Anyway, where was I? Ah, yes, why I didn't vote. It's quite simple really. I didn't like any of the candidates. I think both Gore and Bush just suck royally and it's my belief that they're going for the power of the position instead of the responsibility of it. They're doing it for the power, for the money, for the popularity, and just so they can say, "yes, I was president once." I don't think that either of them know how to run a country. Hell, Bush has a hard enough time running a freakin STATE, how is he going to run EVERY state?

I think the race was so close for one reason, no one could determine who they hated LESS. Everybody knows that both of them just suck and are going to mess up this country big time during their presidency, but what the people were stuck with is a choice that no one wanted to make. Gore is called a lying prick, and Bush is called a self-interest-groups-first loser, or just a Texan for short.

I think the Snickers commercial where the guy in the voting booth has an Elephant, representing Bush, and a Donkey, representing Gore, are standing on his shoulder talking to him. Here's a few lines that I can remember from that commerical:

Elephant: My dad was the President.
Donkey: So what? My father was a Senator.
Elephant: Me and my dad have the same name.
Donkey: I invented the Internet.
Elephant: My Mom once mistook me for my dad.
Donkey: I'm on TV, kiss me.
Elephant: We wear the same pants, my dad and I that is.
Donkey: I invented pants.

There you have it folks, the entire election right there in a just a few lines, or in 30 seconds. Isn't that just sad? Why can't we have a couple of GOOD candidates that actually pay attention to what's going on in this country and not about what's going to give them the edge over the other.

When I become old enough to run for President, and I will, this is what my whole campaign is going to be like. I'll have ONE, or MAYBE two, commercials and it's just going to be me sitting at a desk or something, wearing an EXPENSIVE suit, and I'm just going to say "Hello, my name is Big Daddy, and I'm running for President. I'm not going to have all those negative commercials about my opponent because those are just stupid, and I'm not a stupid man. This is what my issues are in summary...(tells issues) and so my fellow Americans, if you like what I had to say, then vote for me. If you didn't, then vote for my opponent. It's your choice because you're the people and you decide, elect me, great, elect him/her, well, that sucks, but it was your choice. Good day to all." There, now doesn't that just seem like a GOOD idea? I mean, no negative statements. You told the public you're there to do your job and it's up to them to decide and anything they decide is just fine because you're a people person. Why can't the politicians be more like me? Maybe I should send them some e-mail and tell them to take a course at BDU? What do ya think? Maybe I should add a Political type course. Sound good?

Another thing that I would like to add here is my opinion about the private ownership of fire arms issue that Gore and Bush were fighting over. I can't even BELIEVE they even HAD to fight about it! If any of you aren't familiar with this issue, Gore was going for the banning of private ownership of guns, and Bush was not. If I had actually voted, I would have voted for Gore just BECAUSE he wanted them banned. I think that's one of the best ideas I've ever heard come from a politicians mouth. Why would anyone fight such a thing? Maybe if they banned those stupid ass things, maybe the kids wouldn't be stealing guns from home and going to shoot other kids at school. Maybe we wouldn't have so many murders on the streets and in our homes. Hell, if people are worried that their double-barrel shotgun is going to get taken away, what are they going to do when hunting season comes? Well golly, I guess you either have to take bow-n-arrow lessons, or give up hunting. Oh heck, here's an idea. Since there's no PRIVATE ownership of guns, I'm assuming that doesn't mean that businesses can't be erected to RENT out guns during hunting season. I mean, that way, you'll need a credit card or something, and each gun will be accounted for and the government will know who has a gun at any certain time. Plus, think of all the money that will come in from such government run businesses. Deficit, take a hike!

Well, I think that's all I have to say at this particular time. I still don't know who's president, but from what I saw, it's going to be awhile. 19,000 Florida votes in one county were thrown away because the people down there couldn't read them right and picked two candidates. The Democratic party is probably going to ask for an entire re-VOTE from that county to make up for it, which is probably a good idea since from the start Gore was only losing in the popular vote in Florida by 1600 votes, and 19,000 votes in a democratic county could make the difference. Go figure. Leave it to the stupid to vote, and leave it to the brilliant to stay at home.

Til next time folks! Have a good one! One more thing: GO PACKERS!!!!!
