Feedback Letters for This Week's Rant!

Dear Big Daddy,

WASSAAPP!!

I totally understand where you are coming from. Even certain types of bars, or maybe even practically all bars are a bad place to bring children, espcially when they could run around. Smoking is a bad thing for many reasons, but also second hand smoke to a young child's lungs is just horrible. Have these parents heard of disipline also??

I mean, running around and causeing others to mess up is just wrong. For the parents who have children...if you want to go to a pool hall or a bar or a place where adults reign...find a babysitter, then go out. But Big Daddy I totally agree with you on this rant and all your others.

Dear Matt:

Thank you for that letter and you're right about the bar scene. Just today, I was sitting in an applebees, with a bar in it no doubt, and in walks an aquaintence of mine with his girlfriend and almost 2 year old child. Why he was there? Not to eat anything, but because it was his 21st birthday and he wanted to get his first legal drink. Now, how bad is that? Bring your kid into a kinda sports bar/resturant so you can get drunk in front of him? How bad is that!? This is the type of parent that would bring their kid into a pool hall such as the one I described. They have it in their heads that they want to go and play pool, but they have a responsibilty to watch their child. So, hey, lets bring him with us! NOT! Bastards!

Dear Big Daddy,

Well it is about time you finally took my advice and ranted about the pool hall which you and I enjoy so much. I totally agree with you Big Daddy. First off the music stinks but hey that is what you get when the dj everytime is some mong punk from up in the cities. They are a bunch of gansta wannabees and they only listen to rap and they always play the same songs over and over and over, it is such a pain. Now back to the original purpose of this email. Kids! Come on, parents are always wondering why their children or someone else's children grow up to be such terrible teenagers and adults. It all starts early in childhood and bringing them to a pool hall with music that will make ya deaf, a cloud of smoke so thick you need a gas mask to breathe and terrible rollmodels on top of that. What the pool hall needs to enforce is A: smoking for underage punks. If ya wanna smoke do it elsewhere. I hate it when I am playing pool and some punk who I know is not of age comes over to me and ask: hey you gotta square I can bum: my answer is HELL NO and I continue playing. Then the punk pursists and gets upset because I won't give him one ah come on get a life. The only reason kids smoke at such a young age is because they think it is cool and they have nothing else to do. B: The pool hall needs to have some sort of an age limit, but then again nevermind they usually leave before it's their bed time anyways or before the cops show up to make their rounds. But anyways I have learned that if people want their children to grow up with a normal life they need to keep them away from places like pool halls. Big Daddy and I know better because we know how to handle ourselves but these little jail bait girls have gotta go, showing up in all their hoochie cloths letting it all show just to get a date. The same goes for the guys showing up in all their ghetto cloths! I just wanna depants them sometimes its so damn funny.

Anyways that is my personal opinion. If I made any sense that's a first and then again, if not, oh well, very few people value the opinion of someone of my knowledge anyways.

The Dragon

Dear Dragon

I so agree with you on all of those rules. It's my belief that all pool halls, and bars as well(going on what Mr. Matt said earlier)should enforce such rules. There's just no place for any child to be where there's a potenially dangerous atmosphere. Fights break out at pool halls all the time. Now, do you want YOUR 2 or 3 year old being around people who would rather smash a pool stick over your head then play you in a game? Is that what you want them being around? If so, then I think the soical services people should pay you all a nice little visit!

You know, come to think of it, I didn't even think of all the smoke and crap that's around the place. It's hot, it's got a crappy ventilation system, and it's just not a healthy environment for ME, let alone a child who's body systems are still developing. What's WRONG with you people!!!?? Don't you have ANY common sense!?? You, meaning the parents, want to come into a pool hall and play? Be my guest, have a ball, but leave your children at home or with someone responsible. It's not that hard.

I do have to say though Dragon, you do bring up an even better point about the jail bait girls. Why do they even bother? They're all like 13, they dress in as little clothing as possible, and they try and flaunt it any time that they can, and then they wonder why they attract and get treated so shitty by the guys. It's because only the assholes out there are going to go for that!!?? All the good, and nice guys, the guys that would treat a woman like a queen, like me, and Big Mack, and other people that I know don't like any of that shit! It's a total turnoff! I look at them and I just want to laugh!! They are that pathetic!

Don't forget about the dance floor! You know, where they all "back dat ass up"! Of course, no pool hall dance floor would be complete without breakdancing! DOH!!! Who the HELL goes to a POOL HALL to DANCE, or BREAKDANCE! One, you play POOL in a POOL HALL. Two, breakdancing went out in the 80s! HELLLOOOOO, it's the year 2000!! I even saw a guy getting break dancing LESSONS, at a POOL HALL! Ok, I think I've responded enough to this one. On with the other letters!

Dear Big Daddy,

I know of the place you talk about Big Daddy and I'm as dumbfounded as you why there are children there!!!!!!! I'm sure I would of been brought up good as pool hall kid...maybe I could of lost my virginity at the age of 10 by the gehtto sluts there!!!!! It's just an example of what could happen.......... but if I see anymore 3 yr old at this pool hall I will personality complain to the mangement and slap the parents across the side of the head to see if I knocked any sense in them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! signed respectfully an avid pool player

Dear Avid Pool Player

Before I get into responding to your letter, I must first say something. That little something is that you REALLY need to take another course in english! You have NO idea how many errors I've fixed in your letter up above! First of all, you capitalize "I" when it's used alone. Second, the first letter of every sentence needs to be captialized as well. It's "signed" not "sighed", and it's "respectfully", not "resputfully". There, now that that's out of the way, I can get to your letter.

I'm sure you would have been brought up as a good "pool kid" as well. The way I see it, if you were brought up as one, at least then you could play well!! HA HA HA! I do like your terms of the "ghetto sluts" though. That was a nice touch. It almost seems like they're a club or something. Kinda like the babysitters club, only pretty soon they're just going to have their own babies to take care and not babysit others anymore. And I'm sure they have a lot more sex then the babysitter's club as well, although I'm sure the babysitter's club got it on with eachother almost all the time! You just HAVE to be a lesbian to join a club like that. Oh sorry, I got off track there.

The other thing that I agree with you on is the part about what you'd do if you saw another child there. Even though I do agree with you, I do also know that neither course of action would do any good. For one, I know the management and they wouldn't give a crap, and two, chances are that if the parents are stupid enough to bring a child into the place, they're going to be stupid enough to take a pool cue to the side of YOUR head if you decide to smack them upside theirs. I think all that the pool place needs is new management. Yes, that's exactly what it needs. It might happen too, but we'll just have to wait for that.
