Chapter #2
The clouds had covered the sun and had enveloped all of Hyrule. Shots of
lightning
flashed and thunder rolled through Hyrule Field.
Rain started pounding down on the remaining parts of Hyrule Castle. Link
stared into the
air and with rain droplets hitting his head he stated, “I told you, it looks
like rain.”
“Listen Link, I heard what you said, but look.” Zelda said putting the
Lens of Truth to
Links face.
“Oh my,” Link said, “What is that?”
“I have no clue. I have seen nothing that looks like that in all of my
life.” Zelda said,
looking into the darkened clouds.
Lightning shot across the sky and hit the castle and fire began to
explode from the inner
parts of the castle.
“Guards, put that fire out.” Zelda ordered.
“Um, Zelda.....Zelda,” Link said trying to get her attention.
Zelda had left his side and was commanding the guards. Link yelled,
“ZELDA!!!”
Link grabbed her face and tilted it towards the sky.
“What?” Zelda said and then suddenly dropped her jaw.
From out of the clouds rode three men on horses, each of different
colors. The horses
colors were red, black, and gray. The men on the horses all wore helmets, so
their faces couldn’t
be seen.
The clouds were spread out in a path-like road in which the horses were
running on. The
horses started towards the castle and every time their hoofed hit the ground
lightning flashed out
in the distance.
Link and Zelda stared out at the horsemen and then looked at each other
with astonished
eyes then looked back at the men.
Link lifted his shield when suddenly his Triforce started to glow. He
looked over at Zelda
and saw that hers also glowed, which could only mean one thing. Ganondorf was
near. Link
looked back into the clouds and saw one of the horsemen’s hand also glowed of
the golden
Triforce.
“Ganondorf is up there.” Link said.
“I know, I can feel him.” Zelda said as she began to shake.
Link grabbed her by her hand and stared into her eyes. She knew what he
was going to say
before he even said it.
“Be strong.” Link said.
“I’ll try.” Zelda said trying to put herself together.
The horsemen hit the ground and were racing towards the castle. Lightning
stopped
flashing, however Link and Zelda both felt the evil emanating from the
horsemen.
The horses stopped about twenty-five feet from Zelda and Link. Ganondorf
lifted his
helmet and said, “Well, if it isn’t the two cursed, legendary, children of
Hyrule.”
“We put you away Ganondorf.” Zelda said pointing her finger at him.
“Yes, it’s true. However, nothing you can do to me will ever actually
hold for a long
time.”
“Speak what you mean Ganondorf, or bow before the Triforce of Courage.”
Link said
pulling the Kokiri sword from its sheath.
Ganondorf began to laugh, “That little pathetic sword? If you remember
correctly, that
sword did little for you last time.”
Ganondorf pulled his hand and a yellow glow shined from his hand then
turned purple.
The beam shot out of his hand and hit Link right square in the chest,
throwing him from the
ground.
Link sailed into the air and landed hard on the ground.
Zelda lifted her hand and said, “Bow to the power of the Triforce of
Wisdom.”
A beam shot from Zeldas hands and knocked Ganondorf off of his horse.
“You know not what you do, child” Ganondorf said, “You will lose this
fight.”
The other two horsemen climbed off of their horses. Then hit the horses
on their rear and
the horses leapt onto the clouds and ran into the sky.
The men looked odd in nature. They looked nothing of Ganondorf. One of
the horsemen
stood about 6-foot 7-inches, and wore all gray. The other stood about the
same height and wore
all black. They rode the exact same color horse.
“Step aside Ganondorf,” the one in gray stated.
“I can take them.” Ganondorf said pulling himself up from the ground.
“Yes, as we can clearly see. The girl stands and you lay. Wondrous job
you have done.”
the one in black said.
“Your words do not harm me.” Ganondorf said, now standing.
“They aren’t meant to, Ganondorf. You must learn never to underestimate
an enemy.” the
gray one said.
“I do not know who you are, or what you want. But I command you, in the
name of
Hyrule, to leave this land.” Zelda shouted.
The men started laughing and began to speak in a language in which they
never heard
before.
“I apologize, my name is Khnum,” the gray horseman stated, “This is
Sekhmet, and I
believe that you already know Ganondorf.”
“That still doesn’t tell us what you want.” Link said pulling himself off
the ground.
“The things that glow on your hands,” Sekhmet spoke-up. “Ganondorf tried
this once
before, and failed. We do not expect to fail.”
“Give the Triforce pieces freely and you will live. Make us fight, and
you shall die.”
Ganondorf said.
“We will not surrender to you.” Zelda said.
Link was standing and walked over to Zelda and stood beside her.
“Well, we accept not your answer right now. We will leave and return
tomorrow at noon
to receive your answer.” Sekhmet said.
With that their horses came from the sky and the horsemen climbed aboard
and rode into
the sky.
“We already gave you our answer!!!” Link shouted at the retreating
horsemen.
“Link, we need help from the sages. They cannot physically come out to
help, but they can
help us.”
“Yes, we must open the gateway to the Chamber of Sages.” Link said.
“Let’s go behind the castle. No one will come back there.” Zelda said
grabbing Links hand
and began to run towards the back of the castle.
Meanwhile the horsemen turned their final turn and stopped.
“Do you think they will changed their minds?” Sekhmet asked, patting his
horse.
“No, they will not. I know them. They will fight till death.” Ganondorf
stated.
“Will I hope they don’t. I have been waiting for a battle for the longest
time.” Khnum
chuckled.
“They are difficult, I do admit.” Ganondorf said.
“Just because they defeated your little Ganon-morph doesn’t mean nothing.
That morph is
pathetic.” Khnum said a little more humorous than serious.
“The only problem with it is,” Ganondorf began.
“The only problem with it is that is weak.” Khnum interrupted.
“Peace,” Sekhmet said, “You must not fight here. We must keep our
energies strong.”
Suddenly a gate opened and the horses raced towards the opening. Inside
the gate stood a
huge and monstrous being. Lightning shot from his eyes and each time he spoke
thunder clapped
in the distance.
“So, have you an answer?” the being asked.
“We gave them an answer to think about it,” Ganondorf said.
“Well, you have not much of a choice Ganondorf. I have given you enough
time to
retrieve my stones.”
“Master, I apologize, and I beg for your mercy.” Ganondorf said.
“You have already received it by living. You will have the Triforce for
me within the next
month or you will die. Forever.” the being shouted.
“Yes, my master.” Ganondorf said.
“And in order for the powers to be even, I will give you all more power
than you shall
ever dream of. The beings in which delivered my Triforce to Hyrule had more
power than you
could ever imagine. I shall give you their powers.” the being said.
“My master, what are you saying?” Sekhmet asked.
“Step forward, Sekhmet and see for yourself. You shall have the power of
Nayru. For I
am Crainon.” the being said.
“Yes Master Crainon.” Sekhmet said bowing.
Crainon lifted his arm and pointed his finger straight at Sekhmet and a
black beam hit him
in the chest and suddenly a glow shot around him.
“You shall have all the power that my goddess Nayru had. Ganondorf, Khnum
step
forward and receive your new powers as well.”
Ganondorf and Khnum stood in front of Crainon waiting for the command.
“To Ganondorf, I give him the power of Din. And to Khnum, the power of
Farore. Now
go wait for their answer, for the end of Hyrule shall be at an end tomorrow,
even if they agree or
they fight.”
