He had just gotten up. What was that smell? Oh, wow! It was fresh, homemade pie. A rarity in the Kokiri Forest! Good old Saria did it, even when someone had just had the nightmare of their life. Link shivered in spite of the warmth. That he had just dreamt about Ganon the night before did not make him feel any better! “Link! Link!” He knew that voice anywhere...”Navi! You’re back!” “Yes, and I had a great time! Boy, it was good to see Amanda and the rest of the gang! We partied non-stop, 48 hours!” said Navi. “Well, we had fun too! It was Saria’s birthday, see....” and then Link told Navi about Saria’s birthday and how they helped her decorate her house( because she didn’t have any parents) (How do I know? You’ll find out) and then they had one of the most un-Kokiri like partys they had ever had. Link had gone out to get the presents since the Kokiri couldn’t go, and Saria was surprised big time! “So that’s how it was,” said Link. “Gosh.....how was Darren?” said Navi, stealing a look at Saria’s house. Darren was Saria’s fairy, and Navi had a crush on him. Link decided he would go over and see what Saria was making. As he got to the ground the Kokiri popped up and yelled “Happy Birthday Link!” Then Link remembered that it was his birthday. The day he had been marking down for weeks. And he had forgotten it becase of a stupid dream! “A new tunic, a better sword, a stronger shield, but the best part was your awesome cake! And that pie of yours, Saria? I’m still empty...” said a very happy Link hours later. “Now Link, don’t get any ideas!” said Saria and then the Kokiri shouted “Dogpile!” and suddenly what looked like the whole village then pounced on him. Link could of sworn that his knee never worked the same after that.....then when they were alone, just Saria and him, she told him something that would change his life forever. “Link, I have seen many in my time and many at the present and undoubtedly in the future but I have never seen a boy like you in all my years and my years have been many,” Link couldn’t grasp it. Saria? Saying that? And then she leaned over and gave him a passionate kiss and then she said “Good night, Link.” and then she vanished into the darkness. Link sat there, thinking and pulled out his ocarina and played Zelda’s Lullaby. As he went to his room he thought he saw streaks of blue, red, and green.
