TODAY was the first day of our SUMMER SCHEDULE with one service at 9:00 am and the NARTHEX was full!
Today was the last day for the LOVE OFFERING. The collected monies will be taken to ANNUAL CONFERENCE this week by the delegates Don Anderson, Toby Thompson and Pastor Tom.
Today's service was in the CONTEMPORARY style. Next week's service will probably be more of the TRADITIONAL style.
Pastor Tom read today's scripture lesson, Acts 2:1-21.
Pastor Tom talked to the kids today about PENTECOST and how RED is the symbolic color for Pentecost. He passed out a RED hanky to each of the kids and anyone who wanted one.
Pastor Tom encouraged the kids to wear their red hanky like he wore his on his head.
Pastor Tom's message today was about PENTECOST. Penecost means 50 days--after Easter. With the coming of the Holy Spirit, we need to LIGHT THE FIRE (red) of GRACE--LOVE.
3 of our High School Graduates were introduced by Pastor Tom and Kay Larson...Cody Haaland, Jack Thompson and Macy Paul.
Kay presented each a gift from their UMCAL family.
A reception was held in the Narthex following the service and Cody, Jack & Macy were available so we could congratulate them.
The FIRESIDE ROOM was filled with people enjoying the lunch after church--fellowship with food to honor our graduates!

We are located west of downtown Albert Lea on Highway 69 south. Take Main Street (County Road 46) through town to the west side of Albert Lea and at the stop lights by THE SKYLINE PLAZA, go left (south) on US Highway 69. We are on the right hand side of US 69, about 2 blocks from the intersection up on the hill across from Southwest Junior High School.
If coming from I-90, take Exit 154 and go south on Highway 13. Continuing south you will come to a STOP LIGHT. Go straight through the light and it now becomes US Hwy 69 South and the church will be on the right hand side about 2 blocks from the intersection.
