Jerry Kern - drums/vocals

Jerry’s musical roots date back to his 8th birthday. His first influence was his mother who played the piano bars on St. Paul’s East side. She could boogie-woogie with the best, and still can. Jerry is one of the founding members of The Bings back in '94 when a few of us "Deluxers" got together and started learning how to be a band in Mark Caron's basement. Jerry was our mentor, him being a long-time guitarist with the Preferred Stock band. This gave him a chance to do something different and put some good use to his drum kit. He is even credited with naming the band. Since those early beginnings, The Bings have had several other drummers, but circumstances have brought Jerry full circle back to now be considered The Bings' main drummer. We (Mark and Dan) have come a long way as musicians and as a band since '94 and are still on that journey. Jerry brings alot of experience and professionalism with him and it's good to have him back in the group!
