SYATP Needs

Below are a list of areas we need help for this years' See You At the Party 2004. This is based on the recent planning meeting at Discovery Middle School on Tuesday, December 9th 2003:

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

-Administrative-Registration Person: to help head the ticket distribution and collection at the main entry way when the youth come in at 8pm
-Counselors/Couch Team Members:
Who? Mature Christians (college to Adults) who love to share the "Gospel", have a heart for the youth, or even love to listen and talk (e.g. share testimony.
What? Talk about "cool stuff" to get to youth's level. Be ready to hare their heart with "lost" youth or sheeps that been astray
1:1 Outreach Ideas During SYATP: Look for youth by themselves or even a group. Ask God for a "open" door to share with them after getting to know them through playing a board game, chatting about how SYATP has been, carry a notebook asking for suggestions or feedback on this event so far, but be ready to share your testimony and Scriptures. Suggestive Equipment: Notebook, pen/pencil, board games (something to catch youth's eye and interest-joke book, CD's, personal hobby/interest, etc..) and possibly a Bible on-hand.

Resources specifically made for SYATP 2000:

  • SYATP2000PLAN, for youth pastors

  • SYATP2000PLAN, for christian youth (brochure)
  • PARTY2000FOLLOWUP, for new christians (brochure)
  • -Prize Coordinator: to help distribute the different prizes accordingly to each stage where the entertainer will be giving it away throughout the evening
    -Prayer Intercessor: to head up the prayer prior, during, and after this youth outreach event
    -Maintenance Director: to head up the clean-up throughout the facility during the event (eg. put new garbage liners, clean-up unexpected spills, etc...)
    -Meal Planner: to coordinate the meal for volunteers and bands @4:30pm prior to the event
    -Wheel of Fortune "Pat Sayjack": To run this small version game throughout the event
    -Miscellaneous Work: Extra hands for various help to assist the different leaders making this event possible...
    +15-20 people for clean-up crew (contact Dale)
    +5-10 counselors to "reach out" to the youth for "The Couch" and be there for youth in time of need (contact Spencer or Sal)
    +20-30 people for security (contact Greg)
    +numbers to do other work (contact Mark or Jamie)

    STUFF NEEDED

    -Kitchen Appliances for Meals: 3 crock pots, 1 microwave, and 2 coffee pots (contact Jaskie)
