You are a tank commander in an unspecified world war. Your job is to prevent the Germans (it's always the Germans) from destroying the town. You have an elite british tank brigade to coordinate. Don't let us down! This game uses voice commands to instruct the other tanks, your driver and gunner. If you do not have SAPI speech recognition setup you can still play and your other tanks will guard the base and become "alive" when enemy tanks approach. It will then be your job to scout and attack the german base. Otherwise with voice control you can direct the tanks to defend the town, your base or attack the german airfield. The tanks are given the call signs Zero and One so a command would sound like "Tank 1 attack zeppelin". There are in-game instructions available by saying "View manual" or pressing the "M" key.

Instructions:
Use the mouse or joystick as steering and range finding.
Use the keys 0-9 or A/Z to adjust the throttle.
Space, left mouse or Joystick to shoot.
"I" view inventory or shells, kills and fuel.
"M" view map.
"pg up"/"pg dn" view prev/next page.
"home"/"end" camera angles.
Esc-ends the game.

Requirements:
You will need OpenGL 1.1 and a compatible video driver to run Tank Commander.
For speech recognition you will need SAPI 5.1 installed. This is already on all XP, Vista and Windows 7 machines but you may need to set it up first. View the documentation from Microsoft. Any pc running 32-bit Windows built after 2000 should do.
