Nick and Kelly
Nicholas Brendon is the adorable actore who plays Xander Harris on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Nick was born on April 21, 1971 along with his identical twin brother Kelly Brendon. The pair were inseparable growing up, and remain best friends to this day. Nick also has two younger brothers, and due to his parents divorce when he was young, he is very close to all of them.
When Nick was growing up no one would have predicted that he would someday because an actor because when Nick was younger he developed a stutter, and suffered from it, expecially in high school.
After high school Nick went to college (pre-med), but soon realised that his stutter wasn't going to go away unless he made it. So he decided to get into acting, which would make him HAVE to get rid of his stutter in order to get jobs.
The stutter was eventually conquered, but Nick still couldn't get very good jobs. He did one show of The Young and the Restless, but for a while that seemed like all he could do.
It seemed to Nick that his hopes of becoming a successful actor had been impossible He had a small job working as aproduction assistant on Dave's World, but the job wasn't challenging nor rewarding. He suddenly could no longer pay for rent or food. He had hit rock bottom. But when Nick began to show lack of interest at his job on Dave's World his boss sugested that he try acting, and set him up with an audition for a little show called Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Nick landed the roll.
Today Nick lives comfortably in a nice home high above LA, where he can look down from his windows at night, and see the sights of the city from above.
Considering that Nick began acting at the age of 20, and has already come so far, is almost amazing considering the years it usually take actors to be seen. Good Job Nick!
