The White Buffalo (1978)

Hunt To Kill

movie poster Dino DeLaurentiis strikes again with this bazaar idea for a monster movie, possibly after reading "Moby Dick" and deciding to set the story in the old west:
A giant, angry white buffalo is attacking Indians, or is it just a bad dream that Wild bill Hickok is having? Not even the all-star Western cast could save it:
Charles Bronson, Will Sampson, Kim Novak, Clint Walker, Stuart Whitman, Slim Pickens, and B-movie favorite John Carradine. After it flopped in theaters, it was retitled “Hunt To Kill” and sold to TV. It’s still better than Robert Altman’s boring conspiracy-western “Buffalo Bill & The Indians or Sitting Bull’s History Lesson” (1976), which also had Will Sampson in the cast (he needs a better agent).
