EXPERIENCE:
NJ Turnpike, Secaucus Interchange :
This project includes the construction of 3100 ft long four-lane ramp viaduct over NJ Transit rail lines. I was responsible for the design of superstructure including plate girders using curved girder design software, deck, bearings and preparation of all associated details. I was also responsible for checking the substructure design including abutments and piers.
NJDOT, Replacement of Rockaway Road Bridge :
This project involves replacement of five span bridge over Morristown Line and Rockaway River. I am responsible for the design of prestressed box beam superstructure, abutments and piers. I utilized SAM and GTSTRUDL software along with spreadsheets for the LRFD design.
NJDOT, Rt. 9 & 35, Victory Circle Elimination
Responsible for providing construction support services, checking shop drawings, field visits and providing solutions to field problems for this complex multi stage construction project.
Garden State Parkway Bridges Inspection and Rehabilitation
Responsibilities included inspection and rating of the two
bridges M.P. 151.4 and M.P. 154.2 and preparation of reports for rehabilitation.
Designed the replacement bearings and end diaphragms for jacking.
South Road Over a Tributary to Burnett Brook
This project includes replacement of a small span bridge in
Chester Township. Did both Civil and Structural designs of this bridge. I
had good experience to handle all the permitting issues for this bridge, being
close to some historic structures.
New County Road & NJ Transit Main Line Grade Separation
This project involves Survey, Civil, Drainage, and bridge
Structural Design. Responsible for checking superstructure design of the Bridge
and did substructure design including abutments and bearings. I
was also responsible for quantity and cost estimates of this bridge.
Washington Street Bridge US Route 202 over the Jersey City
Reservoir
Responsible for preparing complete rehabilitation report for
this 497 ft long, steel Pratt Truss Deck Bridge. Studied previous inspection
reports and did intensive onsite inspection of the bridge. Prepared the STAAD
model for analysis of this bridge and compiled the proposal for rehabilitation
of the bridge. Prepared repair and complex connection details for this historic
bridge.
Warren County Bridges
This project includes design of three small span County road
bridges, Mountain View Road over a small stream in Franklin Township, Tannery
Road over Blair Creek in Hardwick Township, Brass Castle Road (County Route
#623) over a small stream in White Township. Was involved in both Civil and
Structural design of these bridges.
Driscoll Bridge Widening, (Garden State Parkway)
Responsibilities included, design of eight sign structures,
their layout, allocation and complete detailing. Prepared 3-D STAAD models for
analysis and design of these structures, and then checked the members and
connections by creating Excel worksheets. Under the same project redesigned the existing Kinsey
Brook culvert crossing under G.S.P. and route 9 and designed the new extension
of this culvert.
Route 9 over Raritan River, Edison Bridge (NJDOT)
Responsibilities for this project were, the design of bridge
abutments and layout of the piles. For the design utilized spreadsheets, STAAD/Pro
model and Florida pier program. Also responsible for design, layout and
reinforcement detailing of the median retaining wall, two outlet structures and
sign support structures near the bridge.
Route 21 Reconfiguration, Newark, New Jersey (NJDOT)
Participated during the final design phase of this project.

Brower town Road junction. Designed drainage pipes, inlets and did a comparison
of existing and proposed conditions. Also designed detention basins and outlet
structures.
Lake Road Bridge Replacement, Morris County, New Jersey
Designed a pre-stressed concrete superstructure for this
simple span bridge. Prepared the site grading for the new wing walls. Designed
reinforced concrete wing walls and abutments. All designs were done with
longhand calculations to verify computer programs. Prepared automated excel
worksheets for the project.
