Sabbath Activities:

1.   Now that it is spring and all the flowers, and leaves are blooming on the trees really good.  Go out and pick different leaves from the trees and flowers.  Notice how each one is shaped differently, and how each one has it's own texture.  Get some drawing paper, and see if you can draw the different leaves from the trees and flowers that you gathered.  See if you can draw the different shapes.  Also try to draw the different textures as well.  This may take a little practice, but with time you will be great!  :)  Now that you have them drawn on your paper, take some colored pencils or crayons and color it.  You could make a colage of leaves and come up with a really good design.  

2.    Take a leaf (flower or tree) and glue it to a sheet of drawing paper, or construction paper.  See what kind of animals you can come up with by drawing a head, and legs, and a tail to the leaf.

3.   take your leaves and lay them flat on the table.  Take a sheet of drawing paper and lay it on top of your leaves.  Next take a crayon, colored pencil, or regular pencil and lightly color the paper where the leaf is just under it.  Can you see the different designs?  See what kinds of pictures and colages you can make using the different designs from the different leaves.  You can use this idea to decorate cards and letters to your family and friends.
