Children's Passover Study:
NOTE:
My regular site is not working, so I am putting the children's
Passover study here for now until the other site is up and running again.
When the regular site is up and running I will move the study over there
(Texicansrus'
Home Page)
I
have used the Haggadha from the Karaite-Korner. This way the children and
the parents have the same note, and are on the same page. The
introduction to the Haggadha is located here
(Introduction).
The
Haggadha is located here. (Haggadha)

The
Lesson Plan is located Here. (Children's
Passover Lesson Plan) The
page might take a little bit to load since there are a lot of questions, and
vocabulary words. Usually I give the definitions to the words, but this
time I didn't. The older children can find the definitions on their own.
This will help them with learning to look up words in the dictionary, and will
also help them learn to find the right definition for the word in which it is
used in the Torah.
The younger children can write a sentence with each word, in order to show that
they understand the meaning.
With the names and places, the children can give a short description of the
person or place. And with the Hebrew words, the children can write out
what the word is and it's correct spelling in English.
If you have any trouble loading the coloring pages, or the studies then please
email me and let me know. If you have any questions or comments, please
email me also and let me know.
Thank you, and I hope everyone has a blessed and Joyful Passover and Days of
Unleavened Bread. :0)
Activities:
1.
Print out questions from the Passover Lesson Plan. Cut the questions out
into slits of paper and fold in half. Place the slits of paper into a
bowl. After the Passover meal, and after the Exodus story is read and discussed,
pass the bowl around. Everyone (one at a time) should take a question out
of the bowl. The person that reads the question gets to try to answer the
question first. If the person gets the question right, they get a treat.
Or you can keep points. Keep passing the bowl around one person and one
question at a time. After all the questions are answered, tally up the
points. The winner is the one with the most points.
You can also have one child pick a question out of the
bowl to read (to practice reading), and then the adults answer the questions.
2. Passover
Game Board - This link has the game board to print out, and the questions to
cut out and use on the game board. This is a very fun game, and also helps
to teach the Exodus story, and the importance of the Passover and the Days of
Unleavened Bread. This game is best played after the family has their
Passover study to see if the children have remembered what was
studied. NOTE: I used some of the pictures from the below websites
to decorate the board game. The children will love the game board
also. Get out the crayons or map pencils and color the game board before
the game starts. :)

Activity #1 - Print out and color the pictures below. Next cut each one out. Put the plagues in the order and group in which they belong.
Activity # 2 - One of the pictures below is 'not' a plague, but has to do with the Exodus story. See if you know which picture it is that does not belong in the group of plagues. Then tell what it's place is in the Exodus story.
Activity # 3 - Print out two of each card below. Lay them face down and mix them up. Now you can play the memory game. Find the matches.
