The Leech Lake Regatta Committee has undergone a change of personnel.  They have voted to hold LLR in conjunction with Walker Bay Days.  Walker Bay Days (http://www.walkerbaydays.com)  is a new event for Walker and was held on August 12-13, 2006.  At this time the Walker Bay Days Committee has not set the dates for the 2007 event.  However, if they pick a similar weekend as this year, that means that LLR 36 may be a week earlier than it has traditionally been held.  I have listed the probable LLR 36 dates on this page, but you should check with the LLR Committee for the final dates.

The LLR Committee changes also means that this site will no longer be the "official" site for LLR information.  Therefore, LLR 35 results and photos will NOT be posted here!  The official LLR site may be Walker Bay Days or Shores of Leech Lake Campground and Marina (http://www.shoresofleechlake.com).  That decision has not yet been made.  

I have enjoyed my past association with LLR and intend to continue to participate as a racer.  However, I will no longer be actively involved in planning or hosting the event.  At this time if you have any questions about LLR, I suggest you contact Mitch Loomis (loomis@shoresofleechlake.com) at Shores.  He should be able to put you in contact with the appropriate LLR Committee personnel.
