TLC Get's Ready For Their Performance!

None other than Rosie O'Donnell stopped by and grooved to TLC's rehearsal on Sunday afternoon at the Staples Center. From the stage, Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas spotted O'Donnell dancing in the aisle. "Hey Rosie," asked a giggling Chilli, "you have the routine down, right?" While O'Donnell, who will host the GRAMMY Awards telecast for the second year in a row, doesn't quite have the slippery moves the group does, she definitely gave it spirited effort. Meanwhile, TLC worked up a sweat, spending about two hours running through the number they'll perform Wednesday night -- a mix of "Unpretty" and "No Scrubs" -- in which all three singers took to the mic. There were lots of lights, lots of cameras, and some really impressive (and loud) pyro explosions. Watch for the dainty Atlanta trio to spill out into a stage awash in green and fuschia from three platforms of stairs, before commandeering the front tip of the stage for a snap-tight rap led by Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. Fanmail and two of its tracks ("Unpretty" and "No Scrubs") are nominated for a significant number of GRAMMY Awards this year, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best R&B Album and Best R&B Song, among others. Their touching clip for "Unpretty" is nominated for Best Short Form Video; the song's writers (Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Fanmail producer Dallas Austin) are hoping to bring home the GRAMMY for Song of the Year.

Well after nine months of delays and an alomst cancellation of the site, it's finally open for the world to see. The site in a way is still under construction & alot more features are expected to be added to the site soon, but for now enjoy, "LaFace World!"

The new Toni Braxton album "The Heat" will hit stores on April 25th. The albums first single, the Rodney Jerkins produced track "He Ain't Man Enough For Me" is already playing on urban radio outlets. Make sure you start requesting it. Toni has also started on the video with good friend Billie Woodruff. Another Toni track you might hear on the radio is the Diane Warren writen track "Spanish Guitar", the single is also featured on the LaFace promo for "HAMEFM." Love is in the air in the LaFace family. Before the years end three weddings are currently planned. First CEO L.A Reid is set to wed Erica, a school teacher later this year. T-Boz will marry rapper Mack-10 & Shanice is set to marry actor/comic FLEX also in 2000. "LaFace World" congratulates all the couples on their engagements!

"The Man I Am" is the title of Usher's new album due out later this year. Well that's the title right now, it could change tomorrow. The album will feature work from Jermain Dupri, Donell Jones & Elton John, yes Elton John. L.A Reid & Babyface will also team back up together (as writers) to give Usher one of those classic LaFace hits. Usher is doing alot of the writing this time around and wants it to reflect the last three years of his life. Every track is suppose to be a personal song to Usher, we'll see what happens!

20 year old Alecia Moore aka P!NK, is ready to take the charts by storm. Her current single the Kandi & Shek'sphere track "There You Go" is already flying up the charts & with the release of the single last Tuesday (02/15) it will no doubt make a huge gain on this weeks chart. Her album release party will be online soon, so stay tuned to "LaFace World" for more info. The album is due in stores on April 4th. Go to the P!NK section to hear clips from the album.

New videos from LaFace artist will hit the air soon. The first two will be from TLC & Donell Jones. TLC for their new single "Dear Lie" as soon as LaFace & TLC come up with a video they can agree on, it will air. Donell Jones also just finished his new video with Paul Hunter for the title track of his Gold album "Where I Wanna Be." The video will feature some special guest, so keep your eyes open for it. Goodie MOb. & TLC will start shooting the video for "Ghetto Enough" this weekend (02/25) in L.A & as reported above Toni Braxton has started on her new video with Billie Woodruff for "He Ain't Man Enough." Sam Salter is also expected to go into production on a video for his up-coming album. All I know right now is Kandi & Shek'sphere did the track, more info on his new album soon.
