This is the biggest deer since the Wolf Lake Deer Hunters Association was established in 1978. At that time we hauled deer out with a one wheeled gurney, it took four men three hours to go two miles down a logging road. The next fall, Jim Sr. bought a Polaris
425 Magnum 4X4. The buck, 8-pt.,215 lbs., was only a few points short of Boone and Crockett.

This spike buck was taken shortly after Brandon shot his big 8 pt.(no picture available). After seeing Brandon's deer, all Jim Sr. would say was "I got a two pointer, one on each side."
