Romans 6:12, “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.”

Romans 3:23,”For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life though Christ Jesus our LORD.” Romans 6:23

Acts:16:30-31, “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

Rom:10:9 &13,”That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved...For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

At age five I attended kindergarten at a private Christian school. My parents were new Christians then. My kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Gibas had a passion for Christ and a passion for all her little students, me being one of them. She taught us how to count to ten, how to tie our shoes, and how to say please and thank you. Those things were very helpful growing up, but she also taught us the fruit of the Spirit, 1 Cor. 13, the Romans Road. She taught us that Christ died and rose again so that I could be saved from sin, death, hell and the grave. She taught me that Jesus loves me and that He has/had a plan for my life.

Each night at bedtime, Mom would tuck me in and pray with me. Those were my special moments with Mom. One night in December of ’89 I asked her if I could have Jesus come live in my heart. We prayed and Jesus came to dwell within me. It was precious and still is precious.

My days in kindergarten were incredible. I remember sitting in a circle in class and having intense minutes of prayer. Little five and six year old crying out to Jesus. Our prayers were simple, yet God heard them. Praise His name!

My testimony is not a long list of sins I was caught up in and how I eventually found Christ, no, my testimony is simple. Christ saved me when I was young and He’s been with me ever since. I praise Him for saving me when I was little. His Holy Spirit has been a great convictor as well as comforter during my life. I’ve had my share of struggles, temptations, and sinfulness. Praise the LORD for His precious blood that was shed so that I could be cleansed from all unrighteousness!

God has given me deep convictions and a sharp conscience. The Lord has been with me as long as I can remember and has showed me He is real in many ways. He has also used me in spreading truth and helping others. I love Him more than I can express. One of my favorite Scripture verses is Psalm 51:10-12, "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me, Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit." My desire is to have a pure heart so that I might humbly serve my Lord and Savior! I am not perfect and indeed fail every day, but God provides help and strength so that I am able to overcome the flesh. My eyes are fixed on Jesus and I long to leave this world to go be with Him for all eternity. Until then I am occupying until He comes and I shall uphold the Gospel as long as I live.

If you are not saved, my dear reader, call upon the name of the LORD and you will be saved!

Because He lives,

Emily

P.S. Also, I want to say that I was baptized when I was 15 years old. Praise the LORD! I want to be a living testimony of His goodness and love!
